I could baaarely fit into these jeans this morning. I had to do the whole squat a thousand times so hopefully they would stretch and fit routine. Even then... well yeah... barely fit.

Summer's comin' I better get my bootay in shape!!

from the archives for jan 10 msh: how high the moon.

i have yet to get a decent shot of the moon.... so i thought this might be a fun substitute :)

I'm juggling for We're Here....

well sort of.

I had to get a LE at the new station! It's pretty epic in comparison to the old concrete block that had been there since the 60's.

Thank you to the stranger who stood still for a couple of seconds in my shot! : )

Accidental shot (evidenced by the mega flash up top) but I did like how clear my lashes came out so I decided to keep it.

Project 365 Week 15 Day 108 - Wildcard Day

Like the lyrics in the song by Panic at the Disco sometimes we need to get a new perspective. We become so busy that we get jaded and no longer pay attention to the things around us and the beauty in them. This bare tree is outside my office and I had forgotten how beautiful it can be. Sometimes to gain a new perspective all we need to do is refocus and look at things in a different way.

Long day. More photographs later, sorry.

Trusted an instinct call to wander away from breakfast and found a book I can not put down. The Creative Act: A way of being by Rick Rubin instantly evolved how I think about my photography. It's full of artist proverbs.

This Heron was rapidly feeding and it looks like a water boatman that is about to be swallowed.

I'm just enjoying the beautiful sunset now, but after summer I cannot see the lovely scenes after work. It makes me sad a little.

Went on a camping trip to Big Bend National Park. Here is the hub looking up a bird we were unfamiliar with. Natl Geo and Sibley are our favorite bird books. I did get a few bird photos and hope to get caught up tomorrow.

This is part of my bird-a-day photo project for 365/2017.

It's spring and I see flowers all over the place..

Patiently waiting for the lilac bushes to bloom! I'm seeing some progress 💜

Yesterday, it was 72 degrees outside.

Today, it's 32 degrees outside.

I need to move to Belize.

Sometimes, I just don't want my face in the shot.

Help yourself with some marshmallow cookie tarts while enjoying a lovely weekend!

Happy Perfect Purple Saturday! This is how I’m spending my day!:)

It is what it is.

So..what is IT? Yeahhh, it was that kinda day!

K so cliches aside, is there a way to straighten up photos in Lightroom? Since Picnik is closing in a day..I've decided I need to learn how cool Lightroom is, but didn't see any options. So, that's why I posted a not-straight photo...I've started the process of non-picniking. :(

Have to post and run - am already late for something but really missed 365 and had to do something, even if hastily!!

It is the first term school holidays here and the weather is still good, so there were a few young surfers out (12-18 years old). A couple of the younger ones had there Mum's watching from the sand.

I don't like the editing here... But that's all I had for the Sunday.

It's just one of those days where you pay a lot of attention to the strangest things. Like the texture of your sink.

Personal glass texture and rusty bits.

The little cracks can be found here.

Two Dangos by Jun Kaneko frame the Des Moines Riverwalk as a storm comes rolling in.

Scary how much printing 45 photographs of mainly of yourself and friends brings back memories.

Let's take the one in my hand, I could tell you how much that photograph means. It was a refresher of love that ungodly rainy night. We sat in his blue Ford Ranger for what seemed like days, staring into each others eyes, sneaking kisses, talking and giggling. I fell fast with his soft perfect kisses with a slight wasp of whiskey or Grain Belt Premium on his breath, putting behind all the thoughts of the people I've known he's slept with, I was in love. Or so as close as I had felt for a couple of years of love. The thought didn't even cross my mind of how good of friends we were, along with everyone I know he's slept with. I just closed my eyes and fell fast.

Fast forward, July 22nd, 2006. He had sent me a text on his way down from a show his band played in Duluth asking if I wanted to something. Recently rattled by another passing year [just like my 16th birthday; sitting at home isolated from society and people I thought were friends who'd wanna do something] where I get older but not anymore "loved", I dreamed of doing something on my birthday. After a long weekend he ended up picking me up. We hurried off into the bands practice space. I gulped at the gasping porn around me.

And....a broken heart. We had sex. Let me tell you, ..good sex but, the heart break after is enough that I'd change the world but I do not regret it for a second. Don't be foolish, don't act on something that seems good at the time, think it out.

Now we barely talk, last time I saw him we sent each other texts about our feelings. When we stood less than five feet away. After a long night of uncomfortable, at the end we finally faced the truth, we'd had made a mistake. There is still the massive uncomfortable factor, but I've learned. All you need is communication and it'll fix it. Memories turn into lessons. This photograph reminds me of the lessons I learned with him. Look at photographs and don't frown, think of what you learned from that time.

I'm sure most of you are well aware from the great deal of snow images coming out of the UK today that we had A LOT of snow today. We've had snow on and off for the past few weeks but not this much! It was beautiful but freezing (literally) but I figured I'd forget how cold it was soon enough so I went to the country to take pics. I've decided that since this is my fave place to shoot pics in London, I'm going to take a pic like this each season to show the change. I did one in Autumn and now I have one in as Wintery a condition as it gets :)

Contrary to my usual stories of being a spectacle, today I was encouraged by everyone walking past me - possibly because half had cameras too and were also there to take pics :-P but it was a nice change from the usual ":S what the hell are you doing?! Do you want me to take your picture?"

p.s. I have a ton more from this shoot which I really like but they're kinda similar to these so I wont include them all. I might however upload some plain landscape stuff .. might.
