This was probably one of the most memorable sunsets I've ever shot. There were a lot of lightning strikes, and I finally caught a good one after 20 minutes or so.

I shot this nearly 2 years ago with my old D60. I just saw it while going through the archives and thought I would finally edit it :)

I got brave and stuck my tripod in the creek to get a good angle while I reached across the water from the bank. I used the LCD to try and line up a good shot. Not bad if I do say so myself.

I wish I could have pretty girls in my landscape shots more often. Shannon flew across the country to shoot with me recently and I wasn't going to let her get away without a few shots of her at work.

I told my friend, and fellow photographer, that you don't see Bixby at night too often, so we stopped on our way out of Big Sur. It was very cold, so we only took 2 or 3 shots each. Somehow we both got lucky with a decently composed shot that was in focus. Not always easy to do in the dark.

I recently did an engagement shoot in the bay area with Brett and Sarah. They were so easy to work with. Super playful and totally in love.

I shot this the same day I took this shot of Shannon recently. There seemed to be a bit of moisture in the air so I had a feeling there would be a golden sunset for us.

The waves weren't anything special in this image, so I decided to use the oil paint filter on them. I think it makes for a much cleaner image.

This was shout out at Poplar Beach in Half Moon Bay, CA.

As I was driving around sunset, I noticed the light was shining directly on this tree. I knew i had to stop and shoot this wonderful display that nature was putting on for me.

I didn't plan on shooting at night, but I felt like stopping in San Miguel on the drive home from the Bay Area. I wasn't really prepared, but made do with what I had on me. I found a crappy flashlight in my car that I used to paint some light back into the scene. I've never tried that before, but it came out ok.

This guy lives in the Arroyo Grande Village. They add to our town's charm, I suppose.

Edited with the new Topaz Clarity plugin. It was so easy and did a great job.
