Three of our computer racks wait for us to move them on a recent Friday evening. None of us expected the move to take more than four hours, but ten hours later as the sun was rising we were still struggling with issues. Before Veteran's Day weekend was over some of us had endured thirty hours of extra work with hard drive problems on three servers.

No datacenter should be without a Dirk. We keep Dirk upright in cabinet position until he is needed. He maintains a state of stasis until an alarm goes off, then the door opens and he springs into action.
