Univeristy of Openess, "Faculty of Taxonomy," 2004
For Database Imaginary, the University of Openess – an online, open source, unaccredited university – inaugurated a Faculty of Taxonomy to work together with its other faculty (Cartography, Physical Education, Problem Solving) to investigate the naming and filing structures that permeate our lives. Faculty activities exhibited include take-away game sheets for playing “categories” and a distributed, anti-systemic library of readings about taxonomies and databases. Users are invited to contribute to and re-catalogue these readings. The Faculty of Taxonomy Library is exhibited within the Banff Centre Library.

This is an interface design for a Lie Virus Database. It's software that tracks and categorizes lies metaphorically as viruses. You can search the database, find who's been infected (lied to), who has been administered a vaccine (truth), or been effected with another virus to cover up a previous one (lie to cover up lie). You can investigate the DNA of a virus further (the actual sentences of the lie) and check the make-up of it (nouns, verbs, etc.).
I systematized everything from the name, icon, binary identification, and DNA make up.
