Three DJs (Brandi Snap, D-Ject & Miss Plastik) presented Monster Mash Monday at The Crafty Cove. This was a night of Goth, Darkwave, Industrial, Alternative and EBM to finish off a fantastic few days. And as it happened, this was also Mischief Night in the UK!
On Friday, April 5th, 2024... Ascension Collective presents: Alchemy. Venture into the mystical realm of our wizard's chamber venue where enchanting melodies and experimental beats intertwine, creating a magical fusion that transcends boundaries and embraces the power of sound, offering a night of otherworldly musical alchemy. The Wave-Gotik-Treffen is an annual world festival for "dark" music and arts in Leipzig. Bands and artists from various backgrounds (Gothic rock, EBM, Industrial, Noise, Darkwave, Neofolk, Neo-Classical, Medieval music, Experimental, Gothic metal, Deathrock and Punk music being examples) play at several venues throughout the city over 4 days on Whitsuntide (Pentecost). The festival also features several fairs with medieval, gothic and cultural merchandise. With around 20,000 regular attendants, the WGT is one of the largest events of the Goth-, Cybergoth-, Steampunk and Rivethead- subcultures worldwide.
The day we met and talked a lot. From Gothic, darkwave, EBM, progressive trance to calligraphy, chinese painting, mostly we talk about buddism, true Buddhist practice.
Devon, he is a agency for fine arts now. In 2000, we are colleague in ALi corp, an IC design company in Taipei. We're all vegetarian more than 10 years. It's great to talk to him from music, art to buddhism in sincere and open-mind. He gave me some useful suggestions and share the experience in practice buddhism and sutra study.
I enjoy a peaceful afternoon in that day with him, his wife and her friend.
