Silver Birches.
Just a quick one for the Crazy Tuesday group's theme trees this week.
I probably have hundreds of images of trees in the archive, but hadn't managed to take any this week. Can you imagine?
So I was sitting there drinking a cup of tea like a good Englishman and I saw my neighbour's twin silver birches... fumble, fumble, click.
I like the delicate tracery of Silver Birch trees so wanted to bring those out. It was a very bland sky so I simply inverted the Luminosity channel in LAB mode, which retains the original colours, and cropped to a square. The trees have very few leaves out yet so all you really see are the catkins.

Seriously, this young lady's "Dark Metal" Robin (you have to read the story arc to get how messed up this character is) was wonderfully creepy and she could just whisper, "...crow-crow-crow..." and it made your skin crawl.
YES! *THIS* is what I love about cosplay: people getting into the role-playing or character-acting of the part. It's one thing to look the part but to act and blur those lines of reality...
*air-kiss*
In speaking to the cosplayer, her friend does "The Batman Who Laughs" (met him at Dragon Con) and she said, "Hell, yeah! I *want* in on this action!" and made herself up to be one of the "crow" Robins.

New line, dark, antique looking metal components. I think I will name it 'Dark Angle" since I like the angle wing so much, it will be on every necklaces. They are fun to make but I need another table so I can spread out what I had and don't have to pack them up everytime I want to clay. Project hopping, I might say.
