Am Abend des 29.07.2021 lösten sich die Wolken immer mehr auf, nur über den Bergen im Raum Berchtesgaden hielten sich noch dunkle Exemplare. So stand ich ungefährdet in der Sonne, als 077 027 mit dem abendlichen Müllzug von Freilassing nach Mühldorf vor wenigen Minuten ihre Fahrt begonnen hat und die dunkle Wolkenfront nun hinter sich lässt.

Right front fender of former musician and actor Bobby Darin's 1960 custom-made, futuristic "Dream Car". This photo was taken at the National Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Daring to be different, standing out from the crowd. One rawl plug has decided it doesn't want to look like all the others! Of course there could be more to this story. This could be Planet Rawl Plug where the Rawl-plugians are preparing an invasion force. Their three blue pod plugs are ready to launch and their newly designed black deep space exploration plug is also being prepared for launch. What you might not know is that they invaded Planet Earth many years ago and can be found everywhere. Although harmless and very useful they are the most successful alien that lives in peace among us all without anyone noticing but that's another story :)

Happy Macro Monday!
I hope you are having a good Sunday? I must say that we had high expectations for today due to snow storm that was apparently heading our way! After waking up early this morning I was disappointed to see that snow never actually came. Let’s hope tomorrow is a better day! Till then I will leave you with a frame from yesterdays sunrise. I wanted to give myself a challenge and try to pull out what it turned to be a very complicated focus stack. What do you think?
I am certainly seeing changes in the visiting birds behaviour in the last few weeks. And a case in point was this little Great Tit. I always found it hard to get a good shot of it as it was very alert and seemingly timid and dart away at the slightest movement. Now I find I am getting more opportunities as it is not darting away as quickly or nervously. It might be the birds “Spring Madness” as there is a lot of different activities that are out in the open, daringly, and you would not see in the rest of year. Well that is my impression anyway and of course I am open to correction.
Der letzte Tag des Augusts brachte in Oberbayern für die Jahreszeit eher ungewöhnlich klares Licht und damit eine traumhafte Bergsicht mit sich. Am Abend wollten wir diesen Umstand für Bilder an der Strecke Freilassing - Mühldorf nutzen. Sehr fraglich war allerdings, ob das Licht auch noch für RB 27990 reicht. Wir versuchten unser Glück kurz vor Laufen. Die Schatten wurden immer länger, nur ein kleiner Abschnitt auf der Strecke blieb noch im Licht. Die 5 Minuten Verspätung bei der Abfahrt in Freilassing machten die Sache nicht gerade entspannter, doch am Ende reichte es noch für 628 560.
The last day of August brought unusually clear light for the time of year in Upper Bavaria, providing a stunning view of the mountains. In the evening, we wanted to take advantage of this situation to take pictures along the Freilassing-Mühldorf line. However, it was very doubtful whether there would be enough light for RB 27990. We tried our luck just before Laufen. The shadows grew longer and longer, with only a small section of the line remaining in the light. The five-minute delay at departure from Freilassing didn't exactly make things any easier, but in the end, there was still enough light for 628 560.

Posters, Parchment & a Little Impropriety
I had only meant to wander through the old arts quarter before sunset.
It was the sort of place where every brick wall seemed to remember something—a forgotten performance, a traveling circus, a dance that lasted until morning. Weathered posters climbed the iron kiosk behind me, bicycles rested beneath the shadows, and a narrow passageway disappeared between the buildings as though it were keeping a particularly delicious secret.
Then I noticed my portrait hanging from the wall.
There I was, rendered in delicate pencil upon parchment, surrounded by tiny studies of lace, denim and feminine curves. It felt wonderfully mischievous—like discovering that someone had quietly documented the outfit I had chosen for an otherwise innocent afternoon walk.
And Southern Charm by small is not nearly as innocent as its name suggests.
The pale blue denim shapes the body with corseted precision, following every curve before dipping into a beautifully daring lace-trimmed neckline. A slender tie rests at the waist, adding just enough sweetness to soften the unapologetically feminine silhouette.

For a moment, the old posters, iron stairways and narrow cobbled passage seemed to become my private runway. People hurried past the corner without noticing the little story unfolding there.
But I noticed.
And sometimes that is all a woman needs.

Some afternoons are made for behaving beautifully.
Others are made for wearing lace beneath old circus posters and allowing the neighborhood to wonder exactly where you are going next.
I am one who never trespasses people's houses, but this guy's house (my neighbor) has a long long yard and its end is right next to my side yard separated by a wire fence. The light at this particular end of his yard is great in early in the morning or early evening. His tree branches have been calling out my name every year now for the last 3-4 autumns ever since i knew what light meant to photography. So this year, the dare devil in me finally caved in to call of the good light. So one early evening last week, i took a little stool and finally treaded onto foreign land by climbing over the fence for the first time in the 12 years i live in my house. Once i made over to his side of the yard, i made sure he couldn't see me by hiding behing this big pine tree trunk and snapped away few shots.... I was there for a good 10-15 minutes, but not without apprehension that he'd be jumping out of nowhere in his yard to catch me in the act :) When i finally jumped back to my side of the fence and had some time to reflect on my action later in the evening, I was fairly convinced a pediphile's last concern or interest would be a grown man standing around his tree with a little camera.... time will tell.

A "Daring Jumping Spider" awaits on a peony bud. Only a half inch long, they use highly specialized eyesight to actively hunt and stalk prey.

They had great fun. We kept a very close eye on them - the power of the surf can be ferocious, even when the waves are not enormous.
