Wow, where has December gone? I am in a flurry of gift tag and card making as I try to get my shopping done before Christmas is here and gone. I found a packet of some red and tags in my cabinet that were completed plain except for the dotted background so I decided to pretty them up with stamps and dies to add to my packages. This one uses a stamp and die set by Dare2BArtzy and a little sentiment by Studio G. I added a gold eyelet and sone twine to finish it off.

My son's birthday sneaked up on me this month so I had to whip up a fun card for him last night. I used this fun Spellbinders llama die, along with a sentiment by Dare2BArtzy and papers by My Minds Eye. The stitched hillside die is by My Favorite Things and stitched ovals are by Gina Marie. My son is having a tough time lately so I hope this brings a smile to his face!

This card was inspired by Teri Anderson's Paper Smooches card from Sept. 26, 2019. I love her colorful stenciled background. The stamped images are Paper Smooches' Happy Camper set and colored with Zig watercolor markers. The foliage on the side is Paper Smooches' Silhouette flowers die cuts. The background was created with a stencil and Distress Inks. The overall design of the card was inspired by WCMD #1 sketch from Sketch N Scrap.

I CASED a card that my mom made recently and used some tags that she die cut for me from a set by Gina K. I find that tags are a fun and easy way to decorate the front of a card. These houses and sun are from Our Town by Winnie and Walter, and the cloud die is by Paper Smooches. I added some pretty pink crinkle ribbon and a sentiment by Paper Sweeties. The embossed background is by Cuttlebug.

I am scheduled for some fairly complex eye surgery on the 25th and have been trying to get a lot a lot of stamping and card making in while I can still see, so I added to my masculine card stash with the True North stamp set by Stamplorations. I just love this set, but often forget to pull it out so it was fun to use. The funny this is that I had intended to mask the lighthouse and compass, and actually stamped and cut out a mask..then ended up forgetting to use them when I did a subtle stamped background with sentiments from the set. I got a completely different look, since the sentiments show through the images in the finished version but I think I like that better anyway. Next time I'll use the masks! I believe the birthday sentiment is by Reverse Confetti.

-yep, that's me in the photos and there are plenty of buttons, butterflies and blingy gems.
I found out about the Bunny challenge on Crafty Nomad's blog and had to make this cute bunny card. My family went through a period where we always had at least 6 rabbits, and often rescued them from fields around our house where people would abandon them after Easter (so sad). We also adopted a few from the animal shelter, and a rabbit rescue group. My family doesn't have rabbits anymore but I have so many great memories of those furry guys. I stamped this patchwork bunny and colored her with alcohol and dye markers, then added a sentiment by Close to My Heart. I had some pink bakers twine leftover from a package so I added that too. My mom was over that day and we both made cards.

I like to make little goodie treat bags as stocking stuffers and I took the opportunity to use a cute quail die by PoppyStamps, which I recently bought and hadn't use yet. The blue die cut snowflakes are also by PoppyStamps and were cut from their Snow Flurry Frame die. I stamped the background with various snowflakes from my stash and added a little sentiment. The circles are by MFT and Sizzix.

I inked up several variations of the Pinkfresh Studio Nested Chevron while it had it set up in my MISTI. The fact that you can ink each chevron in a different color totally screamed for a rainbow background! The Pinkfresh Studio challenge this month is Rainbow, so it was perfect. (www.pinkfreshstudio.com/blogs/card-making-challenges/sept...) I trimmed the panel down and mounted it on a dark gray cardstock to give is a small frame (SSS Monday Challenge - Frame It). And then I kept the rest simple with just a large hello die. Let the chevrons shine!
I work with kids, and I love how so many go through the phase when you ask them their favorite color, they say "rainbow." It may be a little bit of a cheat... but seriously, things in rainbow order makes me happy. Inks, markers, paper. Some of my favorite things in my craftroom are pretty just because of their order and organization. The theme at D2B Artzy this month (blog.dare2bartzy.com/tag/challenge/) is favorite color. And I'm going to say it - next to teal/turquoise, my favorite color is rainbow! So I'm also entering this over there :)

Dare 2B Artzy is a new company to me that I discovered through a virtual Expo. They have a some super cute coordinating papers and stamps and dies. This is a set called All the Buzz. I used the MFT Sketch of the week to create a card with a mix of the patterned paper and the stamps. The little bees are from another patterned paper. How stinking cute are they?
