I'm sorry to say I don't think this was a halloween costume. This was probably during our Christmas visit home in 1971 or 1972.
My grandma Jennie made me a photo album for my 19th birthday of pictures of me and family through the years. These are scans of the pictures in that album.

Dapper sul portatilino. Installata non senza patimenti, ma sospetto che il colpevole sia il cd riscrivibile o il masterizzatore, perché non andava a termine causa pacchetti corrotti. Per fortuna l'installer debian (credo debian) ha in modalità avanzata una funzione di prelievo repository direttamente da iso.
Yesterday i tried Dapper on a newly created partition. It took me quite long, because the installer kept failing on corrupted packages. I suspect the cdrw for that. Anyway i managed a work-around using expert mode and activating the option for getting files from the iso. Then everything went quite smoothtly except the i810 driver in xorg not working (had to revert to vesa) and some minor quirks.

New Orleans. There's a beard and moustache competition this weekend so everywhere you look there are facially hirsute men. This gent is a local, and not interested in any competition, though he is much more stylish than most of those who are, many of whom seem to think that just having a beard means that they are in with a chance.
