We could see the blue and white tower from the Viking longship long before we spotted the castle ruins on the hill. It really did seem like a village straight out of a fairytale! We climbed that hill (very steep!) and wandered among the medieval ruins of Durnstein castle. It’s famous because Richard the Lionheart was once imprisoned here. The view was magnificent! The small Austrian town is filled with quaint homes and charming shops, and you can stroll by that amazing tower of the monastery. Look closely and you’ll see vineyards on a hillside behind and to the left of the rooftops.

It was a very pleasant afternoon on the river, this is a shot from a boat.

Why to fly when you can float standing on the tree. River gulls floating down a Danube.

The rain has finally stopped but it is still cloudy and misty.

This is my attempt to shoot an autumn landscape with a mobile phone.

Budapest is the overgrown capital of the Republic of Hungary, inhabited by about three million inhabitants. It was officialy established in 1873 by joining Buda, Pest and northern Old Buda (Obuda). It consists of 23 municipalities. My sister in law and I had climbed over 200 steps on a spiral staircase of Matthias Church’s to the observation deck where I took this image.

Budapest’s shortest bridge, this crossing connects the two sides of the city between two universities: Corvinus University of Budapest and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Built according to the design of architect János Feketeházy, the bridge opened in celebration of the 1000th birthday of Hungary in 1896. Structurally, the bridge is a cantilever bridge with an Art Nouveau style truss – although on first glance, it looks like a chain bridge.

After its destruction during the Second World War, the bridge was the first in the city to be rebuilt and was reopened in 1946 according to the original design. Currently, the bridge allows road traffic to cross and is a busy thoroughfare between Buda and Pest. However thanks to renovation works during the summer of 2016, the bridge was pedestrianised for two months, allowing the bridge to be enjoyed for yoga sessions, picnics and more – sparking calls for it to remain this way.

Last Summer in Bratislava. I love how the sun reflected absolutely everywhere.

Tonight, a little before sunset, the evening mist had already begun to appear, when a terrible noise was heard. A large flock of crows was looking for a place to spend the night and eat something early tomorrow. They chose an excellent place because in my neighborhood there are many walnuts still left on the tree.

Welcome to the place where I shot many of my photos (landscape, macro, still life, birds, flowers, sunrise, sunset)

This is the perfect place for lazy photographers :-))
