Dandelion Spring a sure sign of warmer weather when you see these start to pop up everywhere, found in North Carolina.

A Summertime reminder when this common weed could be seen on any kind grassland,

One of my favorite wildflowers when Spring begins.

Did you know? Dandelions (Taraxacum) are completely edible. The common name dandelion is from French dent-de-lion, meaning "lion's tooth". They have very small flowers collected together into a composite flower head. Each single flower in a head is called a floret.
