Project Tag, "A Call for Prayer"
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the annual outdoor Battery Dance Festival went virtual this year, like so many other performances.
So there was no live festival and most of the international dance companies that participated did so via video.
But NYC let the Festival film a handful of the performers live, albeit in the very early morning, as a way to discourage curious onlookers. These are some of the companies that participated; but this necessarily is a very small sampling.

Dancing over Jerusalem
Just as Mary, the worshipper poured the perfume over Jesus’ feet as a prophetic act of preparation for His death and burial. So now, God is raising up the worshippers to dance over Jerusalem as a prophetic act of preparation for Jesus’ return as King to Jerusalem to rule over the whole earth. This is a very picture of what Ezekiel prophesied when He spoke to the dry bones to rise up. These bones were referencing the dead state of Israel in the end times and the resurrection that would occur as it is being prepared for the return of Christ.
Personal note: This is the largest oil painting I’ve made. I used an actual photograph of Jerusalem as a model. There are specific landmarks in city that could be pointed out in this painting. The three streamers that the dancers hold say 1) Arise! Arise! Arise!, 2) Prepare the Way of the Lord, 3) Dancing over Jerusalem.

We had a Flamenco Dancer at our recent Camera Club Meeting so I had my first attempt at cutting and pasting her into a more appropriate background than the Studio at the Bellhouse Club. Really pleased with the effect. The fan she is holding in her right hand was a right so-and-so to properly remove the original background from as it had LOTS of little holes in it.
