On the last weekend of May in the Mission District of San Francisco there is a massive parade celebrating the cultures of Central and South American - it is one of the best parades I've ever seen. Great costumes - some representing native cultures, others more risque, but everyone looks like they are having a great time. I took these photos in May 2012. I missed the 2013 Carnaval but really hope to make the 2014 version.

Tanoura Dance is one the of main attractions at Desert Safari of Dubai.
The Tanoura dance is performed by Sufi men, Darawish. The dance is similar to the Sufi whirling in Levant and Turkey. In this version, the men wear long colorful skirts, where each color on the skirt represents one Sufi order. - Wikipedia
