Delighted to present a stunning image I photographed of a Japanese fusion dance at Global Village, Dubai, on August 20, 2025. The picture showcases two dancers in graceful, flowing attire, skillfully managing glowing spheres, set against a lively cosmic backdrop with striking blue, pink, and green neon tones. The composition and lighting beautifully emphasize the cultural blend, offering a captivating visual. This shot captures the event’s dynamic spirit and exceptional artistry.

The image captures a vibrant Japanese traditional dance performance at Global Village, Dubai. Dancers in elegant pink kimonos adorned with intricate patterns and red trousers execute synchronized movements under striking purple lighting. This scene, photographed with immense joy, showcases the beauty of traditional artistry and skillful choreography, shared with a global audience.

A dynamic moment from a Japanese fusion dance performance at Global Village, Dubai, captured in vibrant motion. Dancers in floral kimono-inspired costumes move with energy against a futuristic LED backdrop, blending tradition with modern rhythm. This captivating scene celebrates cultural expression, synchronized art, and the global spirit of Dubai.

I was impressed with the movements and gracefulness of the beautiful Ballerina who whirled around on her toes. Her presence captured the attention of the crowd which after her set gave a standing ovation as the other performers recieved for a show well done.

I was hired to produce 'different' dance portraits for someone who knows I don't really shoot portraits. Since I have a background and interest in dance though and since I knew she knew what she wanted I was excited to do this. It was a lot of fun.

The dancer's journey is about to end, and she attempts to savour every possible movement and moment of it.The dance is her personal response to all the frustration and satisfaction that she's been through, with the chair taking a metaphorical role of a double -edged sword in her journey. One part symbolises the euphoric experience of her embarking on the journey; another for her feeling of being chained down during the pandemic.

his world has turned upside down, but he’s still in control. mid-air, mid-movement, mid-miracle—his fingers reach for rhythm as his head meets the ground like a promise. around him, palma waits: one claps, one watches, the sun draws a spotlight on the tiles. in this city, even gravity makes room for the music.

I'm reposting this once again because I saw the weather reports from New England.

I'm reposting this because I just now saw a wonderful photostream of Boston and vicinity street photos. Such fun and so nostalgic for me... They were by fotosqrrl

The magnificent, Dusty Button, in Anthony Randazzo's lovely, wonderful class, onstage at The Boston Opera House, during The Boston Ballet Fiftieth Anniversary Alumni Reunion Weekend. Fantastic...:)

I was heartbroken to discover that the view from front row seats at the Boston Opera House cuts off the dancers' feet!!!! This may be okay for opera viewing, however, it is a disaster for dance photography!!!

I could get decent photos of dancers only when they were jumping! That was after the ballet class moved from the barre to combinations in "the center." Notice the missing feet of the dancers who are not jumping...(:-(

Another interesting observation. The dancers exhibit different dance styles. I imagine it's because the dancers are from all over the world...

As the ending of the Nutcracker Ballet came, many were pleased by the dancers performance and Bravo was what the crowd could cheer.

Ballet is a dance that takes many hours of practice and for the dance company that performed the Nutcracker was incredible and a well worth performance that many look forward to seeing each holiday season.
