Yep...she lasted a whole day in the box...what can I say...she's too darned cute to stay in a box! I think I've decided that I am VERY glad I never got the sister pack Howleen as I think this version is even cuter! (although her original outfit is on it's way and will hopefully be here soon!) And yep I got her out of her leotard super quick too. These are Bratz clothes...the top is a little loose, but it still looks good, and the pants hit her really well, possibly even better than the way they will the regular sized girls! I am SOOOO happy to have gotten a Howleen!

At first, I wasn't too impressed by Venus. I loved the colour of her makeup and her hair, but her outift's rather boring. After some redressing, she has become one of my absolute favourite dolls at all! Since I was in redressing mode, I also gave Howleen a shiny new look. She looks even cuter now... ;)

Last night, I discovered that I had a few hundred MH bracelets hiding in my craft drawer ! The cheap transparent beads I bought from Dollar Tree - shown on Howleen's wrist in green - fit with no effort, but I had to hollow out the Pony Beads a bit first. I used a steak knife and a pair of scissors, but if you have a Dremel and a way to secure the bead, I'm sure that'd go much faster.

As it was, even with the steak knife, it only took a few minutes of scraping the insides to get the pony beads augered enough to fit well. Be careful with any sharp or Dremel tools, though ! And remember that old adage to keep blades out of children ! (Not responsible for scrapes, cuts, wounds, or swear words)

You can even decorate the pony beads, if you have steady hands and small paintbrushes. I only have unsteady and cheap on both accounts, so I used a tiny sticker.

Slight Update : Saw tonight that this identical bag of pony beads is still available at Mal-Wart for less than two bucks. Steak knife sold separately.

Well, the simple part - a strapless jumpsuit - is done. I can now work this in regular, not ridiculous fabric ! Wish me luck adding an actual neckline and armholes to this thing !
