Ensemble of national dance “SABO” was found at Tashkent Municipal Public Association “Assalom Kuyosh”in 2003 being attached to Central Railway main Palace of Culture.
Permanent organizer and artistic director of Ensemble is candidate of pedagogic science Mirzaeva Muborak Gayratovna. Head ballet-master is Folk Artist of Uzbek Republic Kadyr Muminov. Also many of professional ballet-masters, tutors and pedagogues work at ensemble.
Principal activity of ensemble “SABO” is keeping, development and popularization of traditional national dances, musics and costumes.
The main backbone of the collective made up by young pupils of company “Assalom Kuyosh” and graduates of High School of national Dance. There are 18 young ladies and 4 young men of age 16-22 in collective.
Repertoire of ensemble is made of folk and classic dances, folk Uzbek dances of all regions of Uzbek Republic (Bukhara, Khorezm, Fergana, Mountain dances, dances of Zarafshan Valley), and also of dances of world nations (Spanish, Gipsy, Greek, Russian, Latin, Arab and others), and modern shows.

We got the boys new crocs. I'm not keen on crocs but they are so great for the boys. H went onto sports direct and let the boys choose their colours... Att has been wearing his all day calling them his awesome dancing shoes. No idea why they are dancing shoes, but he's pulled a few awesome moves in them today!

One of the dances is the Baewei dance.
The musicians belong to the Rangi Rang Sindhi Sufi group; they are muslims.

In African cultures children are considered adults as to their spirit and way of thinking, imprisoned in still immature bodies.
They live at the boundaries of the human life, next to its beginning and end.

When someone dies, they are the ritual medium which helps the deceased to find his or her way to the second world.
Their dresses of leaves alludes to spring and the rebirth of life.
This image was taken in January 2015 at Ninghali (Bandiagara - Mali) during the thanksgiving dance for the construction of a barrage that makes farming possible in eight villages on the plateau of Bandiagara. The project was funded by shareholders of Metis Africa and Tavola Valdese Foundation.

La partecipazione alla danza della comunità vestiti di fronde allude alla primavera e alla rinascita della vita.
La foto è stata scattata a Ninghali (Bandiagara, Mali) nel gennaio di quest'anno, durante una danza rituale di ringraziamento per la costruzione di una diga che rende possibile l'attività agricola per gli otto villaggi circostanti.
Il progetto è stato finanziato dagli amici di Metis Africa e dalla Tavola Valdese.
