Dance performance “Care” by Helena Krinal & United Dancers of Zuga.
The dance performance “Care” focuses on how difficult, easy, depressing, and uplifting it is to care for someone else.
The collaboration between Zuga and Helena Krinal, which started by chance, turned out to be so interesting and enriching for both parties that they have now been researching and creating together for six years and have reached their third performance – “Care”. Previously, they created “Noise” (2019) and “Shame” (2021). “Noise” was nominated for the Estonian Theatre Award in the dance performance category in 2020.
Led by the Estonian Dance Agency and local cultural organizers, TantsuMENÜÜ brings dance performances all over Estonia.
The Sandhill Cranes are the birds that "sparked" our interest in birding. They hang out in our area in Central California during the winter. The dancing ritual is great fun to watch. The bird in the air was one of the highest jumpers I have seen, making it look really easy to go straight up. I think the bird on the ground was pretty impressed also.
Having trouble telling

Taken in Madeira, we saw this couple dancing in the street to the music from a band. Liked the way they were dressed in traditional clothing.
Thanks for viewing my images, comments and feedback welcome.
The Disco Ghost is always popular at a dance party!
These Blythe dolls are Silent Lucretia (Neo), Sweet Spell Scarlet (Petite) and Yellow Marshmallow (Middie) for “Everybody dance now” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. I added the disco lights effect with the app called A Color Story. I used the 3 day free trial because I don’t want to pay for another photo editing app! I already pay for PicMonkey, but it doesn’t have the effect I wanted for this photo.
Doing dance studio this week finally got to break free from backdrop today and go outside! killer sun but felt good

Dancing together builds a level of teamwork and communication that non-dancers can rarely experience.

Jökulsárlón, Iceland
Here's one from the archives. This was four horizontal shots stitched. Seeing the lights dance across the sky was one of the most breathtaking natural phenomenons I've ever witnessed.
A few of my teen islanders performing a dance for Tangaroa, god of the sea. For Miss Teen USA on InSim. Interesting tidbit: Tangaroa is described as being yellow-haired, so when Pacific islanders encountered Europeans for the first time, they thought they were his children.

Sun & heat-dried tall grasses perform a rain dance in the slight breeze against last night's sunset.
Processed with Dynamic Photo HDR and framed with Picnik. Cheated... but this is more what it looked like through my polarized Persols. **revision** replaced with the unframed higher res version (why does Picnik do that?), which looks better large.
A couple of brief afternoon pop-up showers have fallen elsewhere around the city, and our area is in about the 7th week without rain. Everything's drying up ~ we've been under a heat advisory with record breaking temps in the low 100's the past several days (in the shade). There's a burn ban in effect and if we don't get rain this week, chances are there will also be a fireworks ban, just in time for the 4th of July. Talk about the possibility of rain on the parade...
According to my favorite weatherman, Tim Heller's blog at weatherblog.abc13.com/:
Hottest ever in June: 104° (in the shade) on June 24 (Wed.) and 26, 2009 (yesterday, when this was shot). Previous record: 103° on June 18, 1918 and June 30, 1980.
Tim says, "Only a trace of rain has fallen at Bush Intercontinenal Airport this month. And June is usually the wettest month of the year for us. We started the year with drought conditions, then excessive rainfall in April brought us back to normal. Only a third of an inch of rain fell at the airport in May. The last widespread heavy rain fell on April 27 and 28".
However, a "cool" front is in Tim's forecast and will drop our temps down to the upper '90s ~ yee haw... (currently, it's 98 with a heat index of 104 (in the shade)).
On a more exciting note, my new B+W 77 mm Kaesemann circular polarizer (along with the rest of my B&H order) should be here Monday. I can't wait to get it and try it out! But, right now, I have to get back to work... yes, I'm working on the weekend again... boo.
mr cheesy, mickey t after winning "dancing with the stars: carnarvon style" on saturday night. he won a real trophy - this one richard the oyster farmer gave him to bring him back down to earth a bit - it's from pay less discounts.
