I met Dana in a restaurant on the Kronplatz where she was working. The light situation was wonderful and she was very friendly. So I screwed up my courage and asked her if I could photograph her. Das Dorf Dana ist eine der Top-Destinationen zum Wandern in Jordanien.
Auf einem kleinen Plateau liegt das Geisterdorf
An den bröckelnden Hausecken aber sind moderne Schilder zu sehen, die zu den einzelnen Hotels führen. Und es scheint tatsächlich mehrere davon zu geben. Das „Dana Tower Hotel“ (oben auf dem Foto zu sehen) fuhren wir an. "Tower Hotel" vielleicht, weil es das größte Haus im Dorf ist.
Das Dorf wird wieder aufgebaut. Eine amerikanische Stiftung hat mehrere Millionen Dollar an das Dorf gezahlt, damit Teile als Hollywoodkulisse erhalten bleiben.
Etwas abseits sieht man den Wideraufbau - zerfallene Häuser und Ruinen mit neuem Putz, neuen Fenstern und Türen.
