*Working Towards a Better World
Peace, in the sense of the absence of war, is of little value to someone who is dying of hunger or cold. It will not remove the pain of torture inflicted on a prisoner of conscience. It does not comfort those who have lost their loved ones in floods caused by senseless deforestation in a neighboring country. Peace can only last where human rights are respected, where the people are fed, and where individuals and nations are free. - Dalai Lama

Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more so that we may fear less.

Fear, hatred, and suspicion narrow your mind – compassion opens it.

If you want to cure the world, don’t emanate fear – emanate love.

Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. Yoda (George Lucas)

I have just three things to teach: simplicity, patience, and compassion. These three are your greatest treasures.
Lao Tzu
Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive.
Dalai Lama
Our uniqueness, our individuality, and our life experience molds us into fascinating beings. I hope we can embrace that. I pray we may all challenge ourselves to delve into the deepest resources of our hearts to cultivate an atmosphere of understanding, acceptance, tolerance, and compassion. We are all in this life together.
Linda Thompson
Wisdom, compassion, and courage are the three universally recognized moral qualities of men.

~* PRAY for PEACE *~
☮
We may say prayers when we are trying to solve the problems we face, but it is up to us to put an end to violence and bring about peace. Creating peace is our responsibility. To pray for peace while still engaging in the causes that give rise to violence is contradictory. --- Dalai Lama
