I could think of nothing better suited to an image devoted to moonlight and beach serenity than the classical music composition "Clair de Lune" by Claude Debussy.
This is a composite of two of my images combined in Photoshop with the texture "Captured Light at Sea-4" by Jai Johnson. www.dailytexture.com/

I used a texture from dailytexture.com: "A Country Sunrise" to create this piece with my photo of a bobcat taken at a nature center in Arkansas. I added some grasses and trees using Photoshop brushes. The hint of trees on the right is a photo of trees blended at very low opacity.

AS the grey wet weather hasn't been conducive to shooting outside, I began looking through the archives for something to do. This was from last year's July Fourth parade flyover.

Hallie, in her pink floppy hat and her trunk packed full, thought as she was driving out that day from her parent’s farm in Tennessee, about the Depression and how it had hurt so many. She lived on a farm with her parents and like many farmers they were able to eat well...unlike so many who couldn’t find work to buy food. She was eighteen and had gotten word from her Aunt Tess in North Carolina that she could really use her help. Tess lived on the coast of North Carolina and Hallie could smell the sea and feel the breeze off the ocean calling her name. And by golly, she was going to answer that call. Her parents had given her roots as deep in the ground as that old oak tree where her childhood tire swing hung. And they had given her wings and she was going to soar on them over the Great Smokey....then the Blue Ridge Mountains. From there on it would be straight Eastward and downhill all the way. A new life awaited her there.
