Daily App Experiment 392: "Poplock" - experimenting with popping an external flash while taking a photo. I shot this with #645PRO and tried to time the flash at exactly the same time, but it actually went off mid photo (hence the dark on the left). Then edited in #snapseed. #daily_appsperiment #appsperiment
Daily App Experiment #309 "Mayhem" - You can get some neat effects by
layering three similar, but not identical, images with #DXP's
"difference" effect. I took this photo of Mark, owner of Dr. Teeth,
and ran it through #noir 3 different times. Each time I moved the
vignetting and changed the overall hue of each image. When I layered
two of these images with "difference" I got an image that looked like
a negative, but adding the third Noir image resulted in something that
looked like the original, but with the three distinct color
differences emphasized. #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment
Daily App Experiment #119 "8 Bit Glam" - playing around with #8BitPocketCam. A neat app that has all sorts of flip, mirror, and sequenced effects. Unfortunately it doesn't let you add effects to existing photos though. #daily_appsperiment #appsperiment

Daily App Experiment 384 "Window or Aisle" - Shot from one of our work areas in the @postagram office. I used #lomora2 (sort of a Hipstamatic camera app) to take 9 photos, then stitched them all together using #autostitch. #daily_appsperiment #appsperiment
Daily App Experiment #233: "Non Plussed" - I've been using Google+ a bit lately, but my account was suspended today because I use "Doctor Popular" ad my handle. So all day I kept checking to see if it was back up. It's still down, but I took a few screen shots throughout the day and ran them through #newsflash before merging them together in #DXP. #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment
Daily App Experiment 404: "braces" - a shot taken with #PrismScope. An app that recreates kaleidoscope effects with some nice vignetting and distortion. Did some extra tweaking in #snapseed. #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment
Daily App Experiment #217: "StarPredator" - I propped my iPhone on a tripod and used #moodcamera to take several bizarre shots during Star Pause's set at the Pulsewave SF show, then used interlacer to merge theme together. #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment
Daily App Experiment #279 "Vanishing Point" - Sometimes I like to intentionally overdo an effect just to see what happens. I took this shot down Ellis Street using an telescopic lens for the iPhone then ran it through #Orasis, a detail enhancing photo app, and set the levels to their full extremes. For whatever reason this took light parts of the sky and turned them into gray blocks, which is cool I guess. Final crops and editing in Camera+. #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment

Daily App Experiment #269 "Pei" - this week I'm doing a series of portrait based app experiments. @pketron was shot with Camera then edited in glitched out in #decim8. I then took the original and the decim8 versions and merged them in #truehdr. Finally used #moreBeaute2 to lighten and smooth the image. #portraitappsperiment #daily_appsperiment #appsperiment
Daily App Experiment 388 "Past Tense" - A lot of little things going on here. Started by taking HDR shots if strangers in the MUNI station as they briskly walked by. Then took the original shot and the blurry HDR composite and layered them together in #blender, saving some images with more of one photo than the other. Then took the first two photos and some of the blended photos and spliced them together using #interlacer. Final touches done in #filterstorm #acdseecameraflash and Camera+. #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment
Daily App Experiment #286: "Windows" - I've posted pics of the tiled windows in the back of Jim's a few times before, but here's a different view. I took several pics of each of some of the small windows and reassembled them using #diptic. Creating rearranged grids of grids. #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment

Daily App Experiment #268 "Jeremy" - this week I'm doing a series of portrait based app experiments. @jeremybrooks was shot with #hipstamatic then edited in Camera+. I created a light and a dark version of the photo, then brought it into #interlacer, which Jeremy made. After interlacing the images, I saved the result and then added it back into Interlacer. Then I saved that result and did it again and again. I took my final Interlacer image and then used #juxtaposer to lay some of the original image back on top of the interlacer version. #portraitappsperiment #daily_appsperiment #appsperiment

portrait based app experiments. @bunnyrobot was shot with the normal
Camera app and then edited in the #photoribbons app, which allows you
to sort of "pixelize" areas of a photo with your fingers. It's a
little tedious to use, but I saw some neat pieces that @nicoles did
with it, so I'd like to play around with it more.
