Actually this asparagus fern is a weed in our garden....but it did look pretty sparkling with dew drops in the morning sun. Not really able to get out much at the moment, but can still do some processing. So .... HSS :))

Laid out in 1857, Gilson was on the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy Rail Road in the days when the engines burned wood. By the time engines burned coal, the local timber had been pretty much decimated. Gilson Illinois.
Stock car racing Midwestern style. Usually done on an unpaved oval track of a half mile or less, this popular weekend diversion really draws a crowd on Saturday night. High powered cars that are basically just a body shell covering a motor and chassis go round and round jockeying for position by bumping, pushing, and drafting each other. The extremely loud roar of the engines adds to the excitement. Definitely a survival of the fittest proposition.
