El pantà de Sau és un embassament que pertany al riu Ter, creat per una presa situada al municipi de Vilanova de Sau, i al peu de la serralada de les Guilleries, que s'estén pels termes de Vilanova de Sau, les Masies de Roda, Tavertet i Santa Maria de Corcó, a la comarca d'Osona.
Juntament amb el de Susqueda i amb el del Pasteral, forma part d'un sistema de tres pantans que uneix la comarca d'Osona amb la de la Selva.
L'embassament té una llargada de 17 km i 3 km d'amplada, amb una capacitat màxima de 151,3 hm³.
Actualment, es permet la pràctica d'esports nàutics.
El pantà, inaugurat el 1962, va cobrir el poble de Sant Romà, les restes del qual, especialment el campanar de l'església romànica del segle XI, són visibles quan el nivell de l'aigua embassada és baix

A small valley not far from the house. A calm and peaceful place where I will see a small wooden house. Resurgences emerge and a small water court hollow winds during that last rain. Often I come across some deer and the light is often soft. We were surprised my young Colley and me by badgers hidden in the tall grass after taking this shot. Just before my dog started to run after 2 deer. This one wanted to play.
This photo is, for me, accomplished in the sense that it approaches the
Painting that I saw there with relief and depth.
Un petit Vallon pas très loin de la maison. Un lieu calme et paisible où je verrai bien une petite maison en bois. Des résurgences émergent et un petit cour d'eau serpente au creux lors de pluies qui durent. Souvent j'y croise quelques chevreuils et la lumière y est souvent douce. Nous avons été surpris mon jeune Colley et moi par des blaireaux cachés dans les hautes herbes après avoir pris ce cliché. Juste avant, ma chienne s'est mise à courir derrière 2 chevreuils. Celle-ci voulait jouer.
Cette photo est, pour moi, aboutie dans le sens où elle s'approche de la
Peinture que j'y voyais avec du relief et de la profondeur.
