The CX Loadrunner was manufactured 1987 to 1995 by Mike's Garage, in Germany, for large transport companies mainly. These cars were TÜV approved. The company has gone in 1995. It is powered by a turbo diesel which gives it a top speed of 175 km/h on German motorways. Some older models have exceeded 3.000.000 kilometers.

PLUNA Líneas Aéreas Uruguayas S.A. was the flag carrier of Uruguay. It was headquartered in Carrasco, Montevideo and operated scheduled services within South America, as well as scheduled cargo and charter services from its hub at Carrasco International Airport.
On 5 July 2012,[ only two days after the carrier's employees went on strike amid mounting financial difficulties, the Uruguayan government decided to close the airline down and liquidate it.

This month's LUGNuts challenge is called My first wheels and is all about building a LEGO car inspired by a toy car. Earlier this month I completed a BMW inspired by a 1/24 scale Bburago model. Whilst digging through my box of old toy cars, I also came across a fairly battered looking 1/60 Majorette Citroën CX, which inspired this latest model.
