S8003 was involved in a fatal accident on February 8th, 2014 near King George Boulevard and 84th Avenue in Surrey, BC. Reports say the driver of a Honda Civic heading southbound crossed the centre line and hit the bus head on. The driver on the Honda Civic was pronounced dead on the scene, and the operator of S8003 was taken to hospital.

This is one photo I was tempted to work on for a long time, but, waited.. I had many different shots of this boy, in different frames.. The boy was scared of seeing many people with camera or probably thought we were there to steal his toys, and was crying when I was shooting his elder brother. I tried to shoot him, and captured him in many different expressions of crying. none appealed to me, i wanted eye contact.. Finally, he ran to his Grandfather crying and once his Grandad took him in his arms, he stopped crying. There was my final chance, and everything worked. Probably my will to wait till I get a satisfying shot helped me.
