This super adorable girl was not posing for me, she was trying to get some snacks from her dad, and she had to earn it by putting out all sort of cute poses.
She's 12 years old, and her super cute brother who wouldn't leave his mom's side was 8, but he's double her size.
She's about 18 inches and fit inside a regular size backpack.
I have confidence that you are grinning ear to ear right now; may your day filled with sunshine and more smiles!
Ms. Chippie is still around. She made it through a rough winter. Speaking of rough times..I hope that everyone is safe and remaining healthy throughout this pandemic that has been changing everyone's lives. It has been so long since I posted a photo. Again, I hope everyone is well.
A rather healthy-looking individual momentarily popped up from the creek's bank, to only go back down after a few seconds.
Happy 3rd birthday, Kali Sue. Rescuing you at 10 weeks old was a happy thing. We all love you..you are such a delight!
Even Milo loves you now. :)
What a great experience to see these cutest animals ever. This pose did not last long, but long enough to get it as a timeless reminder of their curious behaviour :-)
This is a wild Cottontail rabbit that came to my yard in the spring. It looks like he found something to his liking off my tree. I now have a baby rabbit in my yard and he is a handful of cuteness! But pictures are still on cards so will be posted sometime after I go through them. I am spending a lot of time photographing him!
Taken in my back yard in Calgary, Alberta. Thank you for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.

Do you have peanuts for me? My little guy is so cute he hides in my flower beds all the time. (and buries peanuts there). HFF....from Alvin.
Juvenile Muskrat dusted with duckweed in the canal, Wildwood Lake, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Title from the poem Dirty Face by Shel Silverstein.
Where did you get such a dirty face,
My darling dirty-faced child?
I got it from crawling along in the dirt
And biting two buttons off Jeremy’s shirt.
I got it from chewing the roots of a rose
And digging for clams in the yard with my nose.
I got it from peeking into a dark cave
And painting myself like a Navajo brave.
I got it from playing with coal in the bin
And signing my name in cement with my chin.
I got it from rolling around on the rug
And giving the horrible dog a big hug.
I got it from finding a lost silver mine
And eating sweet blackberries right off the vine.
I got it from ice cream and wrestling and tears
And from having more fun than you’ve had in years.

Great horned owl owlets/fledglings gain weight rapidly; they are 34.7 gm (1.2 oz) at birth to 1000 gm (2.2 lbs) by 25 days old for females and 800 gm (1.7 lbs) by 29 days old for males.
The first chick that hatches is the biggest with the smallest being the last one that hatched. When they hatch they are covered with white fluffy down. After about 2 weeks, more than 50% of their juvenile plumage will have emerged.
This owlet was very curious of all the onlookers as they are in a very frequented area. This was taken late afternoon after patiently waiting for them to wake up for their next meal.
After a 23 month gestation, Mama Renee gave birth to baby boy Kirk, on February 17th at the Toledo Zoo. This past weekend he was introduced to the public, and what a joy he was! He is currently gaining 3 lbs per day, and will eventually reach the average weight of an African bull elephant: 6 tons!!
Hope everyone is ready for Christmas! I know Kali is..she is loving everything about Christmas this year. Yes, the tree is still standing ...LOL!
FGR invades Explore the Donkey
this was inspired by this photo by Maite. She does high key so beautifully.
And the donkey has a crush on Evildog.

Grizzly Bear (Ursus arctos horribilis)
Knight Inlet, BC
This young grizzly cub was the highlight of our entire day and we spent some time observing from a distance. Its personality was so playful, almost like it was performing for us. This cub was born in Feb or March of this year (2021), so estimated to be about 3-5 months old.
I don’t normally post a series of photos, but this little one is far too adorable not to.
Female grizzlies typically have their first litter when they are 6 years old with mating season occurring in late May to early July.
Eggs fertilized in the summer will not implant until the bear goes into hibernation in the fall. This delay helps ensure the female (Sow) has sufficient nutrients to handle the pregnancy. Cubs are born in the den in January to March during hibernation, and will remain there until spring.
A litter is typically 1-4 cubs. Grizzly bears are not monogamous, so litter mates will often have different fathers.
Yep..Milo's behind bars for all his mischieveous deeds! Poor kitty! Actually, he's just lounging ..being cute! Thought I'd share the sweet side of Milo for once! He's not always naughty! I love my boy!
On the look out on top of a statue in the garden. Watching the squirrels raid the feeder. Perhaps waiting to make "his" move. Worth the click~ Have a blessed Sunday.
:)) I had pretzles in this bowl. I came out and found Dale sitting in the empty bowl. I always have my camera ready on the porch. It was a hot day....perhaps it was cool in there.

Their story began when a cruel person threw them inside a plastic bag next to a trash station. These 3 week old kittens were weak, thin, and helpless. Thanks to a nice human for not turning his back on them when he heard their weak meowing and looked for them. He heard them coming from a plastic bag next to a trash station. The moment he opened the bag, these four were covered with disgusting fleas. He didn't walked away form them but called for help. They were then sent to a veterinary clinic for neonatal care. Otherwise, this picture won't happen.
Thanks for showing the kitties how human kind shines at its brightness when they were in dark.
Trying to get used to my Pen camera that I've had for a while.. still not use to it, but I think this is one of the best photos I've taken.. even if it is my own granddaughter. The eyes are amazing. The orange in her eyes is not a reflection.
This cub is somewhere between 3-5 months old.
Midwinter, the pregnant grizzly bear wakes up from her sleep to give birth, then return to their slumber afterwards. The cubs are 25-30 cm (10-12 in) at birth, weighing .45 kg (1lb) and are blind and toothless with a soft downy fuzz. They will nurse in the den until they reach approximately 9kg (20 lb). Later on in the spring, April/May, they will emerge from the den together.
These first months out of the den are extremely dangerous times for cubs, the biggest threat to them is the male grizzlies who are back in the area for mating season.
Grizzly bear cubs will nurse for up to three years, this depends on when a grizzly mother bear wants to wean her cubs. A decision often made when she decides it’s time to mate again. She will keep producing milk for up to three years, but grizzly cubs begin eating solid food from an early age and can very quickly become not dependent on mama’s milk.
What a riot...he puts one in each cheek...and grabs one in his mouth "to go". Happy Furry Friday from Alvin. Cute in the lightbox.
