The rear mounts the motherboard tray in the Phantek's Evolv case keep the SSD nicely tucked out of the way :) #n3xuscomputing #tech #buildapc #custompc #gaming #gamingpc #pcgaming #desktop #computer #pcmasterrace #battlestation #pcgoals
Loving the detailing on this ROG laptop, even the heat sink fins are red. Early build shot of the rear of the rig. Of note here are the chrome flex cable sheaths which were clipped with transparent cable clips around the corners of the box to allow as much stealthing as possible in a clear case. Also showing the guts of the Laing D4 pump before the chrome front was fitted. This was the early version D4 before the inclusion of the 5 position speed switch mounted on the rear of the pump. The pump's speed was eventually regulated at will by means of a rotary control mounted to the case side. The Polarflow pump face and the pump itself used the actual case side as the compression for the o-rings that sealed the pump, it worked well and didn't once leak, something that surprised my greatly.
On the four base corners of the rig I mounted a set of acoustic 'bullet shape' speaker feet. These acted in much the same way as their intended use by stopping vibration being transferred to the table and causing the unit to hum. They also added a really nice visual touch to a set of feet.
You can see from this shot that space was now becoming a premium commodity and I still had no drives fitted yet!
This is a test image that was processed in CaptureNX2 using both my Top Gear Custom Picture Control and CaptureNX2 settings file.
This is the completed Astaroth build. The keyboard, mouse, speakers, and monitor were all reused from my existing computer hardware; the monitor, in particular, is planned to be replaced with a 1440p 144 Hz gaming monitor at some point in the future.
Shown here is the Motorhead 'Warpig which is the figurehead for the rig.
This is actually a belt buckle with the belt fittings dremelled off and replaced with 2x4mm screws and fixed to the front air intake grille which was designed to resemble a speaker.. Motorhead>speaker>... no, not everyone got it.
The eyes of the buckle were red glass and in keeping with the rest of the project was of course modded out with 2 red LED's which lit them up a treat.

Hey peeps, sorry haven't posted in a while. Been working on colours; very happy with the results though. This is a green complete with carbon fibre front. Looks bad ass. Loads more colours and options being loaded onto site over the next week or so, and will be posting more here too :) #n3xuscomputing #technology #buildapc #custompc #gaming #gamingpc #pcgaming #desktop #computer #pcmasterrace #battlestation #pcgoals

First thing to do to the PSU was remove the screws saying 'warranty void if removed' and swap out the default 150cm blue lit fan for a red one, can't stand blue LED's.
Then a single gang socket pattress was placed over the modular power outlets and a chrome lid put on it with 4x20mm holes drilled to accept the shower hoses.
You can see in the pic they were lined with black 20mm rubber grommets which added a little black colour which I quite liked.
All the power cords for the mobo had to be de-plugged to allow the shower hoses to slip over and this took an age to do. The ends of the hoses were heat sealed to provide a smoother exit for the cables and eliminate the risk of cutting them.
The main ATX loom was also stripped down and re-skinned but is shown here in it's bare state. Once the whole PSU was modded out it's total weight alone was close on 8lb !
