... now I place my hand upon you,
that you be my poem,
I whisper with my lips close to your ear,
I have loved many women and men,
but I love none better than you.

It’s another to feel someone else fall in love with you, and to feel a responsibility toward that love."

'Cause it doesn't seem merely assembled
And I can't help but stare 'cause I see truth somewhere in your eyes
I can't ever change without you
You reflect me, I love that about you
And if I could, I would look at us all the time..

Lindsay Wagner has been my all-time idol since I was 14 years old. I remember being captivated by her beauty when I first saw her on tv in 1976 playing the Bionic Woman Jaime Sommers. Back then I was just barely learning how to draw faces - and upon seeing Lindsay's exquisite features, she became a constant subject of my portraiture endeavors. And seeing her in person for the first time in 2006 and the privilege of having her sign this bust was a truly surreal moment of my life. What made it even more special was the fact that it was Lindsay's 57th birthday that weekend.
Anyway, here's my little tribute to her in doll bust form. I used a Kenner Bionic Woman Styling Boutique bust. I thought the sculpt was just perfect for Lindsay's 3-d portrait.
.. and peace and joy all year round <3 <3

This celebrity doll repaint was inspired by Julie Andrews' classic Disney character of Mary Poppins.
I used a 16-inch Mary Poppins doll here produced by Robert Tonner Doll company - a very nicely made facial sculpt but the facial paint left much to be desired. So, I completely removed factory facial painting and hand painted it to more faithfully replicate Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins. The doll's hair has been extensively restyled to more accurately represent the character's hairstyle from the movie.
Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area . Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.
