Found these the other day and thought they were too awesome not to check out.
And the verdict? They are indeed awesome.
Hi everyone! I'm back from a week in France. I went to Saint-Bresson in Les Vosges with my mother and her partner. It was very beautifull, and we walked a lot through the mountains. I haven't made many pictures, the weather didn't really coöperate ;) But here are a few. Taken in front of the house, this was our view :)
So, now I can catch up with all of you again, and I hope you all had a nice christmas!

Custom rack that holds small accessories and pants/ bottoms. I'm a huge fan of the funny looking eyeball heads and they were used throughout the build for my mannequins.

Bit more messing about with paints. It's all a learning curve, quite like this dude, even though my niece got hold of him, dropped him and caused a few scratches.
¿Os gusta Chinaluna de nombre o es muy raro? Es por el vuelo no tripulado que decÃa China que iba a mandar a la Luna a finales de año (ya no les da tiempo, jeje).

People who know me are aware I am missing most of the fingers on my right hand. On modern bicycles, this is a big problem as the rear gears are shifted by using actuators on the right brake lever. This has proven to be nearly impossible for me. Over the years, I have experimented with all kinds of solutions, including an early version of electronic shifting (Mavic Mektronic).
This is a custom device, made by Kelly bike parts and is called a 'take off’. Basically it permits me to mount standard bar end shifters on a location near the left brake lever. My left hand is just fine, and from this location, I can shift both the front and rear derailleurs. It works so well, I have actually raced bikes with this setup and ridden in large pack events, shoulder to shoulder with other crazy cyclists.
When I was writing this up, I was going to say I have to be careful with this gizmo, as Kelly had gone out of business due to some unfortunate circumstances. However, as I looked on their old web site to add a link to the story, I discovered they are BACK in BUSINESS! This is great news, because Kelly makes awesome custom frames other cool stuff.
I am glad I featured the ‘Take Off’ in today’s photo, as I am not sure if/when I would have discovered that Kelly had returned from oblivion!

I'm starting a new project customizing a BVS Superman action figure! The main reason for this is simple! Although I really like the BVS figure as a show piece also wanted to add a figure to my collection to be used in doll and action figure comics and stories! The BVS Superman however is very bulky and posing is limited! My plan is to customize a figure that falls somewhere between the MOS Superman and the BVS Superman! This may be a complete failure but I hope to at least learn some things from this process! The first step was to remove the suit and take a look at the body structure!
So basically, this figure uses the MOS body with added prosthetic pieces on the thighs and lats! The body is also painted silver! The figures ankles and foot pegs are shorter! Many complained about the height of the MOS figure because he wasn't compatible with other Hot Toys 1/6th figures!
The suit is made of a pliable synthetic material that is fairly elastic and fits the figure like a glove! It's also somewhat sheer so that the silver body beneath can be seen giving the suit a kind of sheen!
I'll continue chronicling my progress as I go and hopefully I won't completely embarrass myself with a big fat fail!
