My latest custom, it's taken weeks in between uni work. By the months end I can get back into painting as much as I like, finally, oh and please ignore the fluff on her blue eye and lips from her fluffy dreds :P
Anyway, she started out as a my scene Delancy and I've fully repainted her in the style of a cyber goth, which I found interesting from an artistic perspective. The blue eyes one of those funky coloured contact lenses. Need to rummage through my doll clothes and find a better pair of pants and perhaps a better belt too. Clothes are my scene though, and the ski goggles are from the Abbey Bominable monster high fashion pack.
Painted using acrylics, and sealed with liquitex and a thin application of MSC (I learnt that lesson the hard way). Rerooted in nylon colours "blueberry" and "black magick" with blue wool faux dreds tied around her ponytail.
Her nasal piercing was tricky. I used a small metal loop like you'd find on jewelery, craft shops sell them as well. There's not much in terms of a septum to work with on my scenes, it's very shallow. I used a needle to make the hole and pliers to close. Had to be careful not to tear the thing out, which would be easy to do. I recommend doing it on one side of the nose, though it did turn out no probs this way, it's just stronger and there's more to work with in terms of securing the ring if you pierce the side of the nose.
Her top lashes are glued on, I usually paint them either way but chose not to for this one, help keep things simpler and cleaner and emphasize the fake lashes, which are black reborn doll lashes, they're sold in strips. I used PVA glue if anyone wants to try it out themselves. I recommend gluing a little section in place first, let it dry, then use a toothpick or small brush to apply the rest.
Next repaint in the works is another my scene, this time a Maddison, the smiling mouth head mold version. She's under way, and will be oh so ridiculously cute.
Wow that was a long winded explanation :P
My second custom figure(or in this case a repaint) was this superman figure that was inspired by an episode of Batman Beyond. I found this as a Kryptonian Superman figure and the first thing I thought was "it looks like future superman from Batman Beyond, just remove the red cloak piece and paint it". So I didn't add anything on it but paint. Pretty simple, but worth it.
Panorama of The Custom House in Dublin.
I used a total of 4 captures in portrait mode each in 5 exposures (-3 to +1 EV) and thus a total of 20 pictures. This gives a full 40 Megapixel image.
(the uneven lighting is not due to bad stitching, but rather bad maintenance)

A mighty wolf lord in terminator armor, ever ready to smite the enemies of mankind with his fearsome two-handed frost axe!The cloak is a mix of green stuff and a wolf pelt from the wolf guard terminators kit. The axe was made from a glaive from the fantasy chosen warriors of chaos sprue combined with a cut and filed-down piece of plastic for the axe-head.
This was using a different, but similar emulator called Pimp My Airsoft. It has a larger selection, yet worse graphics.
This is a sniper rifle I made before moving on to Pimp My Gun.
This is Miyako's doll. I've been working on her for a while now, and she is finally together modelling one of her two outfit sets.
I handpainted her shimmering eyechips and rerooted her with the secure knot method in brown/light brown mohair locks.
We are thinking of calling her Amelié or Amelia :) She is a romantic, innocent girl.
Hope you like her!
This 100 year old Brooklyn, NY townhouse is neither sterile, staid or monochromatic. The materials give the impression of being collected over a period of time. Notice the custom stainless steel sink, the dual level Vermont slate island top for the young twin boys and the variety of glass doors. Stylistically, the cabinets are like members of a family - each with an individual personality. When you go from point 'A' to point 'B' why see the same thing? Varied depths fit into the architecture as the classic subway tile unites the kinetic forms.
My last girl of 2017 is here!!! She's actually been waiting for her turn to shine since November, but we were waiting for the rest of her eye chips, so she's happy to be awake and ready to fly back home to New York.
Her base doll is a Simple Bubble Boom FBL, she has 1 pair of handpainted eye chips by me and 3 pairs of Puppelina eye chips. Her mom mentioned her favorite pattern is gray background with white polka dots, so I decided to add a little accent heart to match her hair as well.
She was made with lots of love so I hope you love her, and I hope she brings her momma lots of joy!
