This is a true view of embroidery that my husband created for someones Harley-Davidson seat. This design is going on the main seat. The previous photo, the one with the black widow pulling the heart off of the Ace card, is going on the back seat. My husband was asked to come up with a design for both seats that went along with the airbrushed picture that is already on the motorcycle. (This is the second of two designs.)

This is a mixed media/mixed breed portrait of a NY dog named Teddy. His mother thinks he is half Poodle but I think he's mostly Shi-Tzu. Shi-Tzus are charming, intelligent and very user-friendly!

"In order to make the stain-glass-panel resilient and waterproof, I brush in lead clay cement in the lead framework. I work the mixture into all the lead channels using a stiff brush.
Once it dries, I remove the subsequent excess and when the lead clay cement has completely hardened, I pick out the fine excess with a fine tool and then polish it with grate lead black polish.
This technique consolidates the stained glass panel and also eliminates any movement or rattles.
Finally, I wash it before I place it on the window . " ~Tomitheos

The Renaissance brought the art of stained glass into a 300 year period where windows were white glass heavily painted. Stained glass artists became glass painters as the form became closer and closer to panel painting.
