This custom necklace is for one of the loveliest lady I know and is a companion piece for a pair of earrings she bought last year.
So far all the gems attached are also on the earrings. I chose a tassel, my focus for March and decided to also link the rondelles to one another for the body of the necklace ~ something I rarely do for necklaces/bracelets as there are already so many artisans using this technique . So I am truly enjoying the opportunity.
Still deciding on whether to incorporate some Pink Opal marquises or nuggets and where. Once I know, I will most likely change the proportions tassel/body of necklace

this came as a particular challenge: I was to use a specific paste paper, all other things left open to me, the only requirement was to bring this paper to bear. - And if possible make a full leather binding.
covering material is an elk leather that appears charcoal grey but was actually sold as teal. The red thingies are inlaid panels (that are thicker than the leather, so they do stand out although they are inlaid), covered with a red Lokta paper - and a piece of that paste paper. The rest of the paper was used as paste down.
