The covers arrived yesterday so I had a fight to get one on my cushion. Why do they put a zip 3 inches shorter than the cushion?
Tapestry cushion created and photographed by a friend, JFK during 2021's Covid-19 pandemic long lockdown in Melbourne.

first time I've tried making patchworky type cushions from my fabric. happy with how they turned out :)
Will share the link for the sunburst square pattern when I find it!
10 ply (worsted) dyed organic cotton from Blue Sky. The back of the cushion is a large granny square.
I don't understand some women's obsession with having cushions everywhere. OK a few sprinkled around the home look...well...homely, but I always had a body shape that meant cushions were always unnecessary. As long as a chair or sofa had built in cushioning I could sit, or slouch, or stick one or two legs over the arm of the chair or even swivel round so that my legs went over the back of the sofa with my head wedged down in the corner. But at home there are so many cushions on the settee and armchairs I have to clear them onto the floor to be able to sit in the chair. In bed I have to chuck out the three cushions on top of my pillows to allow myself to sleep. It's ridiculous. If someone wants some cushioning on the sofa just cuddle up against me. I can be moulded into most roundish shapes you could want. And I'm warm too. Damned cock cushions! Don't buy any more!
Hi!
*Working working*, all the 116 cushions are sewn! :DD I need to
fill all of them but at least the harder work is done. òvó
And I also have finished the certificates! and I am happy with the result,
maybe I also upload a photo... *^3^*
In September I'll receive all the boxes, and now I just can make the design
of the box-sticker and nothing more... oh no, wait, I have to buy the shipping boxes *work never ends xD*
I hope all the Enyos will arrive in September because I need time to assemple all of them and prepare the boxes (and omg, making the face-ups _o_ )
Well, I'll post more photos about "Enyo-news" during the waiting ^^3
Thanks for viewing!
pd: yeah, I love copic markers xD!
My eldest daughter saw this beautiful cushion made by Laura RF here www.flickr.com/photos/lauralrf/6280697707/in/photostream... she asked me if I could make her one too... So it was a learning curve for me to learn how to do this stitch... It seems to have many names Mermaid scales, Mermaid tears, Mermaid skin or Crocodile skin... It turned out to be a lovely stitch to crochet, used a lot of yarn but I will be using this stitch again... My daughter loved her cushion...
I want to make her another one but like a bolster pillow/cushion... I have the yarn for it... shhh... I did have the yarn for it... I've used it elsewhere now... must keep an eye out for the sales to get some more of that yarn... Shhh it's our little secret... lol... <3
I upgraded this boxcar to kadee roller bearing truck to model a PRR car that lasted through Conrail and got donated to a museum in Connecticut.
I may go back and modernize the ladders and roof to fit how it was during PC/Conrail.
Sigma ART 35mm f/1.4 @ f/16
Completed cushion. Colors are a tiny bit more muted on photo as I finished this late and it was dusky. Hope you like it, partner - it's on it's way!
