Happy Caturday :-)
The lads don't care much for blankets, but are hoping that these cushions will be acceptable :-)

Thinking of my friend David who is blurred in this picture. He is on his way again to India and Myanmar for three weeks. Wishing I had been free to travel with you again and capture the adventure as your trip photographer! Bon voyage and stay safe!

Cushion phlox (phlox pulvinata) is native to the western United States where it grows in mountain and plateau habitat, in rocky subalpine and alpine climates, including exposed tundra habitat. We found this near the Forest Canyon overlook at elevation 11,716 ft (3571 m).
Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments -- I appreciate them all.

This is part of a handmade cushion with lots of colours and textures. It also had zips, velcro, laces, buttons. My Mum had Alzheimers and she spent hours exploring the cushion. It gave her restless hands something to do and she was also interested in it as an object. My Mum died a few years ago. I kept the cushion for a while because it's stuffed with happy memories.
This is such a lovely pose.
It can be symbolized in so many ways to tell someone that you love them, holding their heart close to you or that your own heart is broken and needs a cushion.

I spotted this beautiful cushion in our local hardware store back in August. I'm hoping they still have one in stock as I'm going to buy it for my mother for Christmas, she collects Owl stuff. It would be quite expensive to post to the UK but as luck would have it Martin is going over to England next month on the car ferry to visit family & friends so he can deliver it & my Dad can hide it away until Christmas day. HWW & HEoM!

These start out being white, then salmon pink then darkening with age. Usually found near beech trees, from Maine to Florida. This aged cushion mushroom was found at the Culberson Woods State Nature Preserve in it's wet Beech Forest.
Cushion pieced in AMH fabric rainbow with a grey Moda Bella solid as the background. Pattern is a modified version of the Swift Wreath by Nightingale Quilts. I used 8 different colours of 40wt Aurifil corresponding to the coloured quadrants for the quilting.
