Cusco, often spelled Cuzco, is a city in southeastern Peru, near the Urubamba Valley of the Andes mountain range. It is the capital of the Cusco Region and of the Cusco Province.

The site was the historic capital of the Inca Empire from the 13th until the 16th-century Spanish conquest.

Cusco was the third city we visited. On the way to our hostel, Loki, these steep steps seemed like such a difficult task the first couple of days. With the elevation of the city, it really winded us. By the end though, we were charging up the steps like nothing. (side note* Loki is cool, but definitely wasn't out scene)

I took this picture on my way to the central market in Cusco. On my way i saw a lot of these ladies waling with those huge bags on their backs. I wonder what they carry with such a hurry.

I took it with a fast velocity of: 0,008 sec (1/125) to freeze the image of the lady.

I like the colours of the picture, the red dress and the blue doors at the back.

I'm not sure why I do like this shot so much. It was taken in Cusco (one of the most friendly and historic cities I've ever visited) and brings together the old VW, market and terraced housing.

Vale, cultivo de milho

So, I know not all of these photos are very artistic (although the doors themselves are), but I wanted to put up some of the amazing doors found all over Cusco, Peru. I decided to just put them all up now to bore you all at once. Which one is your favorite?
