I'm trying so hard every day to find a new normal, knowing that life as I used to feel it is over. It's not a normal I ever wanted. Even the thought of it was too painful when I used to fear it. Now that it's happened, it's worse than I every imagined. I still feel in equal parts numb and heartbroken. I cry often and sometimes for what seems like no reason. It hurts every second of every day with no end in sight.

This long weekend I agreed to a fashion shoot with a photographer I used to work with about 6 years ago - Mike Davis Photography. He is one of my all time favourites, a gentleman and an extraordinary talent. I did my best to pull myself out of my depression, to give him the energy and enthusiasm I used to be able to and I think we pulled it off. It still amazes me that photos can hide so much. Maybe that's what I always loved about them. They're escapism, my absolute favourite kind.

I'll have some images back to show you over the next few weeks. Makeup is by the best - Mish Bratsos ❤

I'm sorry I haven't been around much guys. I'll try to check in more often. For the moment, I'm just trying to survive as best I can.

Hope you all had a wonderful long weekend ❤ xxx

Shooting this weekend with Katty Wasmayr and Mike Davis at a gorgeous hotel in St Kilda.

In the meantime, I found this previously unreleased photo from an editorial shoot 4 years ago so thought I'd share it with you all.

Also guys, just wanted to say thank you for all of the kind comments I get. It means a lot. But hopefully you don't just do it to me. Leave a nice comment for people you know, people who might suffer from low self confidence or who may not get nice comments often. Sometimes the smallest things can really make someone's day. There's so much more to admire about a person than the way they look. Hopefully you're taking the time to appreciate them too.

So Paul and I have different opinions on this expression. What do you think it is?

Entering Week 2 of a 6 Week Lockdown in Victoria and already missing my creative projects. Fortunately I have some photo and video editing to keep me busy or I'll lose my mind. I'm also looking at doing a short course to do on weekends so I don't feel like I'm wasting time. What's everyone else in lockdown doing to keep yourself entertained?

Please don't forget to admire my wonderful partners in crime listed below and tagged in this post

A photographer asked me early on if I realised that my 'go to' look was a snarl. It was during our first shoot together and as soon as I did this expression, he laughed and told me he'd been waiting for it. He said that models will often have a 'go to' look; something they fall back on regularly when they're shooting because they know it works for them and because it feels natural.

I don't think I snarl much (or at all!) in my private life but for some reason, this expression has always been my go to. Apologies it's not more friendly. Apparently I'm not comfortable with that :P

Posing to try and distract Gaz from the fact that I am definitely going to attempt to steal his giant and totally huggable teddy bear after the shoot. Side note - need much bigger getaway car.

Edited by Kerosene.

I shot Kerosene Deluxe at Iona Beach yesterday. The weather was more or less perfect, nice cloud cover, not too hot, not too cold that she couldn't get naked. I love shooting at this log. The texture is amazing. It's a 45 minute walk down the beach though so it takes a bit to get there. We went out to the tide flats too and shot in the mud. I may have to do a mud wrestling shoot out there one day.

Today is my day off work but my first official study day since I started my Grad Diploma in Digital Marketing. Did you know your work will give you 2 study days per semester to help support your studies? I didn't but I'm finding it incredibly helpful with so many assessments coming up.

What are you doing to better yourself? If you're debating whether or not you're too old to go back to study, I'm here to tell you that you're not! Go for it. Push yourself. It's scary and exciting but also so incredibly rewarding to learn new things.

Thank you to all of the lovely people that were kind enough to leave me a message on my birthday yesterday.

I know I mentioned how difficult I felt it would be as my first birthday without either of my parents and it was. In a few days, this month will also mark the 4 year anniversary of losing my beautiful mum so it's (by far) my least favourite time of year.

However it does truly help to know how many kind and caring people I have around me. From close friends, family friends, models, photographers, creatives, online friends - I am so grateful for you all.

Thank you for making my little online space so much warmer ❤

First shoot back at it after spending my birthday last month in hospital with a bad case of food poisoning from who knows what. I had an amazing shoot planned for that day, I'd take it off and done all my shoot prep beforehand - only to have to cancel from hospital in the early hours of the morning. Ugh! Fortunately, I had this one a few weeks later and had fully recovered by then <3

Hi all,

Sorry for the temporary disappearance. I had some account issues I had to sort out. All ok now but hope you missed me.

I've got some pics back from a shoot I did a few weeks ago with one of my favourite teams. Attached is one of them but more to come!

Happy Valentines Day for yesterday too. I hope you spent it with someone special. If not, I hope you treated yourself to something special to celebrate.

I never grew up near the water. I lived most of my life in a residential suburb in South East Melbourne. But I was always drawn to the water. As I got older, I learned that I must have inherited that love from my mum, who grew up in Dee Why on the northern beaches of Sydney. She spent so much of her childhood at the beach and missed it badly when she moved to Melbourne just before I was born. But she had visions of raising her children in a family friendly neighbourhood with other young families and, as it turns out, that was a good decision. Two of my best friends also lived in the street I/we grew up on. I spent most of my childhood and my teenage years hanging out with them and making memories that I'm so grateful for today. They remain two of my favourite people in the world.

All these years later, I've moved closer to the water and regularly walk to my local beach. These walks help to improve my mental health but they also make me feel closer to Mum. I try not to think of her for too long because it just hurts too much. But in times like this when I'm in the water or near it, I feel more connected with her and that's the only way I have to be closer to her now.
