No one needs the lifebuoy ring
I finally managed to escape down to the coast for a much needed fix
I'd set the alarm for sunrise as waves were forecast up at Seaham.
Having had not an awful lot of sleep, partly due to our little visitor, the clock was switched off and I descended back into the land of Zzzzzzzzzzz's
Gutted I'd missed out when I saw the great image posted by a fellow Flickr contact (Malc)
I looked up when the next tide was due and hoped the wind wouldn't subside
We got there at four and I was amazed how high the waves already were. Yeah you guessed, the Benny Hill moment yet again
I really wish it was in my nature, to slow down a bit.
Many, many hours later, four in fact, we decided to head home
After all I'd only told Ken "One last image" a multitude of times.
And by this time we were both feeling the cold
I'm elated at what I came away with, as it was made all the more special, having not been out for so long
I'll post the usual lighthouse images a little later but for now, here is something a little different and a break in my Curvacious series for the time being
Feeling inspired by a recent magazine article featuring Mark Cornick, in Outdoor Photography, I ventured into the garden yesterday. I chose to base my captures around plant curves with a soft focus
I captured several of these images and hope you like them as much as I do
Second in the series of looking at the curving leaf formations in the garden, with the new macro lens and a soft focus
I luv the tiny details

Its hard getting back into a creative way of thinking after the destructive years of COVID. So im setting myself small projects to get me thinking again. this was a thirty minute get abstract challenge around the home.

Riverside Restaurant, University Centre, Cambridge. Perception perplexity. Let me explain: what you see is a mirror behind the vases and a reflection of the restaurant and one of the staff ladies. Gorgeous curvaciousness, eh! The vases, I hasten to add:-))
Did Santa come to your house, still? Give you everything you want? If not...I know someone who will...

It was quite difficult to get a shot of this 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO/64 in the paddock as it was drawing lots of attention, but eventually there was a moment when there was nobody walking in front of me and I managed to grab this photograph.
From this angle you can see that the front is not quite as curvacious as the 1963 250 GTO, its almost lost the swoop over the front wheels.

Different morning, different beach to my last post but some wonderful light again. I never tire of this view across Embleton Bay to the outline of Dunstanburgh Castle beyond. The littoral zone here is always changing and the outlet of the little river sometimes a curvacious sweep, sometimes as here, straight out to see - the tides and storms shifting tons of sand around to alter its course. This was a lovely calm and warm, for October, morning however, and a great place to spend an hour or two.
There were only 3 types of cars in her world: the boyfriend car, the family car and then - the getaway car with plenty of room for stash, random hookers, automatic weapons and dead guys.
"The getaway car is what I want" she thought and stared longingly at a Mercury Marquis Sedan, 1974 model. It was anonymous yet with overtones of evil, something that never failed to get her juices flowing. If anything it proved how little she knew about motors.... this cop-show piece of machinery was not practical - so low it would touch the ground at any little bump in the road but - it was forgettable. Being white and not her favourite colour which was mustard yellow - it was so easily forgettable.... potential witnesses would most likely confuse it with a different model, and by the time anyone figured out just what had happened...she would have crossed the border...

āSolitude produces originality, bold and astonishing beauty, poetry. But solitude also produces perverseness, the disproportionate, the absurd, and the forbidden.ā

With my very busy mind and ...
Determined type " A " personality
when it comes to photography
I veer my visual interest towards the minimalist or curvacious !
Photography then becomes a medium and weak attempt at meditation and God consciousness.
Where less information, negative space, sensual curves speak in volumes.
I know that there are many kindred photographic souls on Flickr.

Loved this man, totally in awe of this magnificent piece of art, unaware of the world around him...
For me this artwork 'open ended' from Richard Serra is not only about shape and space but also a play with the light, offcourse with that ever so important human element

Out in the elements at Bass Point Reserve this morning ... the wind could've blown the spots off a dog - but it was great to be out 'in it'...
