If I were to start eating meat, I probably wouldn't start with a Currywurst. So I convinced Dave and Rachel to have one on my behalf.
This is probably one of the oddest museums I've ever been in. The lack of English label copy was a small problem compared to the presence of someone dressed up like a giant sausage, inviting visitors to find glee in his inevitable demise.
It is hard to see behind the van and the tree, but this is where Wechsler's Currywurst & Bratwurst is located. I had typical Berlin cuisine here of currywurst and a Berliner Weiss. I also got to hear some German spoken by the group sitting next to me. I considered this a preview of the Berlin vacation I hope to take next year.

I walked by this place "Wechsler's" on 1st Ave btw 7th and St Marks a couple of weeks ago. They advertise "Authentic German Bratwurst". Sunday I finally checked it out and got a Currywurst. It was pretty good and I'm sure I'll go back soon.
Currywurst in curry sauce with pommes frittes served in an oval china bowl with beer in a pilsener glass. Diners on the opposite and diagonally opposite tables are also drinking beer.
On our drive through Berlin between meetings we had to grab some lunch. Our taxi cab driver suggested the most famous Currywurst in Berlin. Its open 24 hours a day and the most popular dish consists of a sausage sliced, with fries and some ketchup and curry powder. Pretty tasty.
