May 25, 2025 - "The skyline of downtown Columbus has been transformed with this monumental artwork by internationally recognized sculptor Janet Echelman. "Current" is a stunning, ephemeral, sky-high sculpture that will inspire wonder and imagination in all who see it. As it dances gracefully in the wind, this awe-inspiring work of art will become an emblem of Columbus’ culture and innovation.
The design and installation of "Current" was funded by Jeff Edwards. He has graciously donated the work to the Museum. Connor is a handsome, sweet little guy that loves to romp and play with his siblings and his foster family.
Connor has all the right ingredients for a great kitten - playful, curious, energetic, and cuddly. He also likes to take long naps between his play sessions and he appreciate a soft place to snuggle up.
Connor is one of 16 kittens born to 3 friendly stray cats in the same garage within a 24 hour period. Since the mama cats raised their kittens together Connor is accustomed to having playmates so he must be adopted together with one of his siblings or adopted into a home with another young, friendly, playful cat.
You are invited to meet this adorable kitten and his siblings and see if he is the right fur baby for you.
The power monitoring project uses three of these Fluke probes. As the label says, they output 1mA of current per amp of current in the monitored conductor. By putting that current through a precision power resistor, this is converted to a voltage proportional to the current.
Canadian National Railway (CN) is currently in the process of replacing one of the many old double-track wooden trestle bridges and build a new single-track steel and concrete bridge on the former Illinois Central Railroad (IC) main line, now the McComb Subdivision near the small community of Norfield in rural south central Lincoln County, Mississippi. (May 28, 2026)
We are facing southwest. This line between New Orleans and Jackson, Mississippi was a double-track main line up until the late 1980s or early 1990s when the IC executives decided to make this double-track main into a single main with pass sidings every several (either 15 or 20) miles. North of the city of Jackson, the IC (now CN) was split into two separate but parallel single mains, the Yazoo and Grenada Districts (now called subdivisions in CN terminology). The Yazoo line was made for more through-freight trains while the older Grenada line was more for shorter local freight and the two daily Amtrak trains. In 1995, Amtrak's City of New Orleans Trains 58 (northbound) and 59 (southbound) were rerouted onto the more rural Yazoo line, reducing the need for older Grenada line which CN eventually sold off to a short line railroad company.

This is the piece I am currently working on. It is a Self Portrait, done in acrylic paints, on four mirrors. When I am finished painting, I will rearrange the face so that it is slightly distorted. This is based on Pablo Picasso's Cubism Paintings.

This race day was organized by the Swift Current Drag Racing Association.They hold races on summer weekends on a runway at the Swift Current Airport.
