May 25, 2025 - "The skyline of downtown Columbus has been transformed with this monumental artwork by internationally recognized sculptor Janet Echelman. "Current" is a stunning, ephemeral, sky-high sculpture that will inspire wonder and imagination in all who see it. As it dances gracefully in the wind, this awe-inspiring work of art will become an emblem of Columbus’ culture and innovation.
The design and installation of "Current" was funded by Jeff Edwards. He has graciously donated the work to the Museum. The current exhibition at Cafe Pause, "Rhythm of the Composition," by artist Hiroaki Koshiba (until August 27). The opening party will take place August 19 (Saturday) with live painting (accompanied by video projections) by the artist to start at 19:00. Come join us!
