The great tailed Grackle bird kept poking around under the rocks, but I have no idea what he was looking for. Maybe he was trying to catch some fish? Gnats and insects maybe.
This Great Blue Heron really was curious about something as he looked down from a roof top in one of our local park gardens. He must have seen something to perk his interest.

Our neighbor's cat, coincidentally named George, on another neighbor's railing. There is a bird nest in one of those ferns with several squawking baby birds that "Curious George" needed to check out:)
it doesn't take all that much to make me do a u-turn and pull over. Literate primates and crazy socks will do it every time!
Technically George is not a monkey as he does not have a tail - but I'll let that slide.

Second portrait of friend and model using stuffed animals and window light. Gradient filter used to transition from color to b&w.
My submission for the Flickr Friday theme #lifeislikeaboxofchocolates. Took me forever to shoot this! I haven't learned how to capture things in motion yet so this was really difficult for me! But I loved the challenge non the less! ^^
My first idea for this theme was the feather since "life is like a box of chocolate" to me is a reference to Forrest Gump. But then I saw someone else already submitted the ultimate feather picture, not worth to compete with, so I decided to do it a little different and add Curious George to the shot! I was really lucky the library has one available! ^^
Curious George is an interesting character that fits the theme well not only because he's Forrest's favorite book but also because his curiosity always leads him to new places, new situations and new people :) The feather I found this morning when walking around chatting with my sister on the phone, talk about lucky! :)

So today marks my final day of 365 Year 3. I have been at this now for 1095 days.
Gah!That's either dedication or complete insanity.
Maybe both. I haven't decided.
Nor have I decided to continue with another full year.
Maybe it's time to say farewell.
We'll see what tomorrow brings.
There are no guarantees here.
I must say that I have thoroughly enjoyed the picture taking process during this time and have loved the interaction with all of you beautiful people out there.
You have challenged me and embraced me with your talent and support.
In fact, I've had the opportunity to meet some of you lovely flickr folks in person recently and will do so again tomorrow on my Birthday and again later in April.
Okay so, I honestly don't want to spend all day leaving a novel for you to read but I do want to tell you is that I'm grateful for all the kindness that so many of you have shown me in three years. A HUGE thank you to all those that have supported me and my life along the way. I am honoured and humbled by your grace.
365 may be fun and showy and filled with costumes and props but it's also a part of my real life in many ways. Revealing bits and pieces of myself that are not always easy for me to do.
So again, I am grateful that so many people have been kind to my personal life as well.
Lots of love and respect to all those that have given me so much in three years.
You are an inspiration to me.
Have a wonderful Easter to those that celebrate the holiday.

My son painted this picture of Curious George for his Dad years ago; Justin surprised me by leaving it with me because he knows how much I love it! It is even more special now!

We went to a Book store today and Slinky was excited to find his favorite monkey there! :) Because George is almost as curious as Slinky is ;)
