Finding the Cause is finding the cure. This is the secret behind developing a working Melasma Cure. Since each sufferer is different so to are the treatments required.
No more hick-ups to be found. The solution is 'dirty', but works in this case. As the soft-uart only deals with 9600bps, which is rather slow, I made the pin-change interrupt that samples the byte interruptible. The delays introduced by all the other ISRs are minuscule and don't matter ;-)
The other way around would be lethal.
What happened:
The ISR that deals with the LEDs runs in CTC mode, that is the timer value is reset to zero, once a compare match has occurred. Now if other interrupts delay the invocation of said ISR, the timer will have advanced beyond the usual compare match value and will have to wrap around completely. A 16bit timer will need quite a while in this case (2s). In practice the LEDs will shut off for that period. Ouch.

The large piece of pork belly was rubbed with a curing mixture recipe from Jason Molinari's Cured Meats blog (http://curedmeats.blogspot.com/). There's salt, Insta Cure No. 2, black pepper, garlic, thyme, bay leaves, juniper berries, nutmeg, salt, and brown sugar in there. After two weeks it gets rinsed off, then rolled, tied, and dried.
i'm seeing the cure tomorrow at madison square garden. i first saw them perform 8 years ago at jones beach though i was initially introduced to them by my old friend jen back in 9th grade (1989). i dug up my old Cure binder full of vintage photos of the band and thought i'd share. this is from the pre-crazy hair and smudged lipstick days. aren't they adorable?

The Cure è un gruppo musicale post-punk britannico nato nel 1976 in piena esplosione new wave. Brani come A Forest, One Hundred Years o Play for Today ottengono sempre una grande partecipazione del pubblico.
