April is sexual assault awareness month.
The current statistics, as reported by NAU, is 1 in 4 women will experience sexual violence while in college, 1 in 16 men will experience sexual violence while in college, and 1 in 10 LGBTQA students will experience sexual violence while in college.
These statistics are sobering and preventable, as 80% of sexual assaults involve alcohol.
Protect one another and watch your friends' backs, and they'll do the same for you. Know your limits, have an exit plan from any situation, and don't fucking assault anyone.
Consent is not sexy, it is REQUIRED and non-negotiable.
This temporary display on campus stopped many in their steps and I hope this photo can share some knowledge and raise awareness of sexual violence, not only on college campuses but in all walks of life.
UNITED NATIONS OF CUPCO SHOW
The United Nations of Cupco featured 100 international artists who received a felt template of a Cupco Doll from Luke Temby/CUPCO. The exhibition was held at the Damien Minton Gallery in Sydney in mid-2008. That means Cup O' Sugar is a world traveler!
