Lifeboat zooming in to the beach area for a rescue.

You can also clearly see where the old coast railway line was crossing the viaduct. This line was closed back in the 1960s, remember it well, also remember walking home along it from the Summer dances. Happy days.:-)))

Reaching the edge of the cliffs all that remains is a lovely stroll along the wide expanse of Cullen beach and a lovely coffee on the beach. What a great its been, until next time ..

Cullen is a beautiful location to be found on the Moray coast Northeast Scotland .We holiday there most years now and there are some wonderful Sunsets

The river Cullen was running rather low when we were there ,not had much rain to keep the levels up .The bridge was a nice find with the Sun lighting up the other side and giving back light to the leaves. Cullen,Banffshire,Moray,North East Scotland

The original lighthouse was built in 1866 and the current one was built in 1888 and is located at the end of the harbour breakwater . After the fishing industry moved from Cullen to Buckie for the improved facilities at Buckie the lighthouse fell into disrepair ....it was renovated in 1999 but not as a working lighthouse

Logie Head, to the east of Cullen in Morayshire, Scotland, is always a rewarding location to photograph. The weather always seems wilder there than just along the coast at Cullen. You have to be careful here though as the rocks can be very slippery and the seas big. Big swells roll in here and can change the landscape very quickly indeed so you also have to keep your wits about you and keep an eye on the water. Definitely worth the risks involved though.
