A Happy new year!

These are Japanese New year cuisine "Osechi Ryori". Each food has its own meaning. For example, small fish dishes "Tazukuri" symbolize wishes for abundant harvests and the prosperity of descendants.

Borekas

Bourekas or burekas (Hebrew: בורקס),(Ladino: Burekas) are a popular baked pastry in Sephardic Jewish cuisine and Israeli cuisine. A variation of the burek, a popular pastry throughout southern Europe, northern Africa and the Middle East, Israeli bourekas are made in a wide variety of shapes and a vast selection of fillings, and are typically made with either puff pastry, filo dough, or brik pastry, depending on the origin of the baker.

I spent some days in Marrakech (Morocco) with a friend. A stunning city that has a lot to offer in many different ways. The people, the architecture, the markets, colours, culture, weather...many reasons to go!

I hope this wasn't my last trip to Morocco, I definitely would love to come back... For shooting it is heaven (even for a landscaper like me), although the people are not really fond of being the subject of your photo. So you never get much time to prepare this amazing shot you have in mind.

I took this one from Le Grand Balcon Cafe Glacier overlooking the Djeema el Fna square.

(I would like to recommend the large size...)
