This unique wrist cuff is made from part of a recycled vinyl record.
It is hand painted with acrylics in violet with an original design in pink and iridescent silver. The silver has a lovely, sparkly sheen when viewed from different angles.
It would make a sweet and thoughtful, earth-friendly Valentine's Day gift!
I cut the records to size and shape them around the wrist of a mannequin I have in my studio. That means that it is actually the shape of a real human wrist. The cuff is designed for the right arm, but can be worn on the left as well.
All edges have been carefully sanded and smoothed for your comfort.
Easy to put on and take off, it does have some flexibility and can be slightly stretched "open" as needed.
This cuff comes with a little instruction card for how to resize it if needed.

This modern, trendy cuff is created entirely of scraps and upcycled materials!! Does that fabric look familiar? Well, considering iamthemandy materials are gathered from all over, it is totally possible it could have once belonged to you. Sewn from old fabric scraps, laces, threads and denims, this cuff wouldn't be complete without a vintage button closure. An elastic band wraps around the vintage button to strap the cuff to your wrist.

I made this shirt in late 2017, with thumbhole cuffs that were way too big for the sleeves (and my hands). Replaced with better-fitting cuffs.

Found this short education film in a dusty old canister and decided that I was going to use the negatives on a lamp refashion. The lamp refashion idea was Plan A but I could never find the right lamp in a thrift store. Plan B was to use the film negative and create a quirky cuff. The cuff was easy to make using an old white thrifted shirt which had the buttons and buttonhole in place. I cut the fabric away from the shirt and then created my Film Buff Cuff. I kept the story of the film intact by handwriting the film maker and film title on the cuff. I also kept the black and white theme of the film by using white thread and a permanent black marker.
Film Buff Cuff is quirky.... is different.....and it is a statement piece.
