This was one of today's baby great horned owls. He was ferocious! He did not appreciate having his blood drawn and wasn't afraid to make that fact known. But then I cuddled him and he fell asleep in my arms. Animals like me.

This is probably one of my all time favorite shots. Here is my pastel ball python, Pandora. During this shot she was very sick with pnemonia. The vet wanted me to try feeding her with live mice because she had not eaten for months and was being tube fed. She decided to make friends with this little guy instead. They cuddled and slept together for hours and she even let the mouse suck on her stomach while it looked for a source of milk.
I mailed this photo to my vet when she finally recovered from her sickness.

And now for something completely different! Relics from year 2007, when I was naught but a starving little Radioshack slave. These photos were given to me by the great Katie Nealy, and what you see here are the few that are internet-appropriate.
Ah yes, very clear inebriation in the form of cuddle-attacking Diana. I'm blacked out at this point.

This collage was made entirely from magazine strips with a technique I call "painting with paper." I cut the paper into different shapes and layer them in such a way that they look almost like the brushstrokes in a painting.

This young lynx was born in Tierpark Haag/Lower Austria and is rather affixed to humans...
I'm cleaning some older photos off my hard drive. It looks like I never posted these shots of Rocky and Arya, cuddling. The general curator at the zoo says that, in his extensive career, he's never had an introduction of two animals as successful as this one.
