A plethora of tones, textures and shapes - the Mammoth Springs site in Yellowstone Wyoming, USA.
It was formed by drying calcium deposits (carbonate) with wonderful crystal like glisten.
(Never saw any Wooly Mammoths . but Happy Mammoth Monday!)

Still wandering through my hard drive clearing space. The Crystal Mill around Marble, CO, was on my bucket list quite a few years back. I had seen many photos of it in camera club competitions, so the SO and I made it one of the stops in our Fall Color loop. It's definitely NOT for the faint of heart - up a steep rough narrow mountain road. But it was a thrill to see it in person finally. So, this image a stack of 3 exposures.
