Okay, so this was a super hard picture to re-create! I used vaseline to get the glitter to stick around her eye, and I used Q-Tips to make it look like she was crying. I got the idea from a picture I found on Flickr, here's the link to it: www.flickr.com/photos/lutman123/4084711910/
To get the background to turn black, I had a flash set at 1/32 pointed towards my subject. She sat in front of a table and the flash sat on it about a foot and a half away from here. It was triggered by a Pocket Wizard that I had synced to it and one mounted to my camera. It was challenging and a lot of fun!
The Crying Bride picture.
Taken with a Canon AE-1 Program and a standard 50mm f/1.8 lens with a flash.
This is Bergger Pancro 400 film at 400 ISO. Developed with Rodinal 25:1 for 6 minutes and 45 seconds at 72F. This is my first roll of Pancro film. I think it came out pretty good.
One of the many reasons I love hanging out with Paul and Sarah so much is that they're both completely chill about their kids. When we told them that we were secretly hoping to be able to cross two of the items off the Scavenger Hunt 101 list, a child laughing and a child crying, they confidently assured us that we'd get to see, at the very least, plenty of the latter. At the end of our tour of the yard yesterday, Tabitha complied when she ended up getting an unexpected blast from the garden hose. Heh. Sure, I felt bad for her, but that didn't stop me from exploiting her sadness for my Flickr gain.

Some of the babies were totally unfazed by the big scary sumo. Some would even giggle with delight. At such a time the officials would stand up and bring out the Oni (Demon) masks to really scare the pants of of them!
A few weeks ago we went to the Crying Sumo Festival. Two sumo face off in a ring and each one is handed a baby. Which ever baby cries louder wins. Yokoso!

I don't handle goodbyes very well. I never have.
I miss her already.

Isn't this loos like a crying old man?

(Kyllä sillä varmaan silmät silti on, ettei tähän sellaisia merkityksiä tarvitse miettiä..) Väritetty Copiceilla, valk. geelarilla ja sinisellä puuvärillä. Taustalla tapettia ja lisänä muovisia 'jalokiviä'.

Entry in a "Crying girls" themed deco. Girl coloured with Copic Markers, I added some accents with white gel pen and a blue pencil. Background is wallpaper and on top of the whole thing I glued some plastic jewels. I think there is a certain circus-like feeling to this, so the bright colours fit surprisingly well.

This is the criminally neglected Tillydrine House near Kincardine O'Neil. These absent owners should be named, shamed and be asked to explain why they have allowed such neglect to happen. Their property should then be returned to the community.
Very sad.
