Letztes Jahr waren wir zum ersten Mal gemeinsam in Berlin.
Ich kannte, na ja, ich war schon mal in Berlin gewesen, das war so Mitte der 1980er Jahre. Also hatte ich nichts als ein paar verschwommene Eindrücke im Kopf, die sich mit nichts deckten, was ich im Frühjahr 2015 dort vorfand.
Eine schöne, lebensfrohe Stadt mit Flair, nicht das muffig eingebildete Berlin der Bundesrepublik, sondern eine, nun ja, Weltstadt. Kunst, Kultur, Küche, eine ganze neue Welt hat sich hier aufgetan. Welch ein Sprung aus der Vergangenheit, besonders hier, im ehemaligen Ostberlin! Mich hat diese Stadt ungeheuer beeindruckt, meine Familie ebenso.
Umso schlimmer ist es nun, dass auch Berlin jetzt von der Heimsuchung des Terrorismus betroffen ist.
Aber davon will ich nicht sprechen. Berlin war und ist eine Reise wert, jetzt erst recht.

This girl is either squinting because of the sun's glare on her book or crying at something in the story. On City Hall Plaza. (The book's front cover has been torn off -- she got it cheap.)

jason gave me is camera to take pictures of him and luciette. i disobeyed orders and took a quick shot of this crying girl after she started screaming that the battery acid otherwise known as dead sea water was burning in her cuts.
the crying girl was somehow more hilarious with the soundtrack. now it just looks sad.

Well I don't know if fish can cry but there was something flowing from the eye of the fish.
This is a modern scupture. I like it, although it seens that it is very sad. The algae that is growing makes it look the snot is spreading from the nose

A few weeks ago we went to the Crying Sumo Festival in Asakusa, Tokyo. Two sumo face off in a ring and each one is handed a baby. Which ever baby cries louder wins. Yokoso!
